How does increased base girth affect sex life?

I am going to begin hanging for the new year and I am doing a lot of research. I already bought my bib starter and will begin once I go back home. Many report base girth gains from hanging. I’m curious how that feels for a woman?

Does it feel bigger for her even though the rest of the shaft is smaller?
Does it feel weird?
Does it generally provide more pleasure?
