My unit has a baseball bat effect. It is significantly thinner at the base. I can also feel that as it goes behind the balls (BTB), it is still quite thin, although this is rare. Most guys have thicker base/BTB girth but my base girth is about 4.6”. BTB, I have the same girth (I can’t measure it, but I can feel that the width is the same). My midshaft girth is larger, but due to the weak/thin “base” of my unit, I have low angle erections that are average-poor quality and they don’t have much strength. My length is 6.5” BP, so I don’t want to get longer right now or else it will be too skinny proportionally.

Normally, to increase base girth or BTB girth, people say to either do some stretching or hanging. However, since I don’t want to get length right now, I am not sure what to do. I jelqued in the past which caused the baseball bat effect. Would pumping work to increase base and BTB girth?

Also, I know manual squeezes/clamping can increase base girth (by working in a similar way to clamping) does anyone know if they also increase girth BTB?

I have never heard of behind the balls girth before right now. But clamping or squeezing at the base, and squishing the head and last third of your dick to force expansion of the tissues in the base should help.

I have to chime in, too, about the “behind the balls” part. Maybe this is just semantics, but I’m doing not seeing this. Do you mean the portion of your penis that is even lower than the base: the root that is capable of being pulled up, with enough force?

To clarify, the BTB part is not visible from your own perspective, looking down. Looking down at yourself, you can see the base and the normal visible part of your unit. But BTB is an important part. Like the foundation of a house, you can’t see it but it has to be solid for the rest of the structure to work. The entire structure of the penis includes the inches between your anus and the balls, which is basically your taint, although we don’t see or measure the area BTB. If you get an erection and feel this area, however, it does get hard, and also has 2 corpus cavernosums and 1 corpus spongiosum. We can only see + measure the length that comes out of the body, but the rest of it is still important. I am sure a taint injury could cause ED.

This is the area that I would like to focus on. My base /BTB area is like a bottleneck. If anyone else has had trouble with the girl on top position, it is likely you have a narrow base that doesn’t provide much strength. This is how it is for me. Pyramids and most structures should be built with a wider base for strength. In this analogy, the foundation is the BTB area, and the foundation should be equally wide or wider than the base. If you can imagine a building with a narrower base, it would not be very strong.

I also have the same shape, not as extreme as you claim to have it though. What worked for me was pumping. I have began extending (vac) since a couple of weeks but I must say that the base already looks much thicker(?!)

So its like a win win when you hang or extend. It gets longer, plus it gets thicker at the base.. what else do you want :)

I think pumping and lots of kegels. I know exactly what you are talking about. Just follow the shaft down with your fingers behind the scrotum as you can feel it almost all the way down to your asshole. I guess you would call it the root of your penis. I massage this area daily in the shower with soapy fingers.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I have found that bundled stretches bundling from the base has helped to reduce the baseball shape.
