How to measure the penis

For starters, I wanted to post this in the main member forum, but for some reason I cannot do that.

Either way,

When we hear, or read up on the measurements of penises.what is the OFFICIAL way of measuring?

Here of course there is bp, and nbp..

But the studies and statistics that are on internet sites that the average length of men is 5.8 or 6.2 etc etc etc,

How are they measuring? From the side, the top? Seated or standing? Bone pressed or non bone pressed?

I guess the main question is.whats the OFFICIAL measuring procedure for the universal statistic of “penis size”?

It’s not a science. I know most say BP is the most accurate measurement but I personally don’t agree. On the visualizer, the instructions are to lightly press the ruler into your pubic bone. Some appear to jab it in way too hard…but the bottom line when it comes to measuring is to at least be consistent. Tape measures are pretty bad too. The measurement should not be taken at the point where the tape measure drapes over your glans. It should be held out as if you were holding a ruler with no slack in the tape measure.

Yeah that makes sense.

The whole basis for this site, penis measurement size, and no1 knows anything. Newbies should take note of this.

Acyually, this site is about penis enlargement, not measurement. If someone is measuring improperly he can still make his dick bigger.

ddolphin what about people like me with a high erection angle + and upward curve? Holding it straight out like a ruler takes away .5 of an inch from my measurement. And it’s not as if that .5 is imaginary. That’s why I press into my pubic bone and down along the shaft. Those that have a perfectly straight penis don;t have to worry about that. Know what I mean?

Well if you want to tell it to the girls you can measure it with tape, but if you want steady measurements you should go with the ruler so you get a better feedback on the changes.

I agree on cayance. If you want accurate measurement of gains then ruler straight out. I also have a high erection angle. Girl ask you can tell her what you want but you want accurate as possible measurements for your own benefit

This is a FORUM, that means good and bad comments are welcome, everyone has a right to read them.. I am so very sorry if my comment about, what is the official measurement- on a dick measuring site.offended people so much.

From what I have found in the forums I think it is both bone pressed and non-bone pressed, measured from the top, standing, flaccid and erect. But it also seems consistency is the key thing, don’t cheat yourself. Also some people measure both mid and base girth.

Also, if you type in all caps a Mod is sure to let you know to see the forum guidelines.

So as long as you understand what the various measurement methods in use are, what’s the problem exactly? Just measure the same way every time.

Some studies measured one way, others measured a different way. You didn’t read the thread I linked to, did you? If you had, it answered your question that you asked in your first post.

As you might now be suspecting there is no universally applied method of measure. Even if I were to tell you that the most accurate way is bone pressed, everyone who measures is likely to incur some amount of deviation from the method, or have some other issue that introduces some amount of slop into the results.

The best thing you can do is find a way that works for you, and be consistent in doing it.

As soon as NIST writes the spec for dick measurements then there will be something close to a universal standard. Right now it’s however the authors of the study choose to do it. Most will do it bone pressed, from the top.

I think the recommendation is to straighten the penis as much as possible to get an accurate measurement. However, I was not suggesting people should not press into the pubic bone…that is what BP measurement is. It is apparent that BP measuring style is not the same from person to person as some press much harder than others.

But we are getting our dicks bigger compared to our own pre-PE size and not compared to the next guy so like I said as long as the measurer is consistent with how he measures then all is good.
