I don’t understand why you guys use water to warm up. Once your skin gets wet, it becomes harder for it to retain heat. Heating pads are the best way to warm up; you can easily control the temperature and your dick stays dry, which is good if you hate padding down your johnson with a towel.
This is my opinion: When PEing, we often forget to do the little things (i.e. giving a rats ass) that can make our session that much more beneficial. This includes giving full concentration to the exercise you are currently doing (instead of emailing your buddies), timing your strokes when jelqing, and finally, your warm-up. The warm up is probably the most common part of a routine that gets neglected.
People argue that warming up is, “a waste of time and effort that could’ve been spent PEing.” They are wrong. Warming up does not simply heat the skin. If it did, why do physicians use heat (or ice) packs the help with problems that occur below your skin. If that heat pad only heats up your skin a few degrees, then why would my trainer put a heat pack on my leg when it got sore from running in track?
Though there is a lot of evidence that shows that the heating up of ligaments/tissue does seem to increase elasticity, this should not be the reason why you are warming up. I agree that your penis will stay warm for only a short amount of time after your remove any significant heat source, and thus, making it damn near fucking impossible for you to get any real benefit from the heat alone.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t warm-up. People often forget that the purpose of warming up is so that you can loosen up your tissues and ligaments so they become less likely to sustain an injury when you are doing god-knows-what to it. It also, at least for me, helps get the blood flowing in that area; something that we want.
Warm-downs have the same purpose, they also help relax your tissues/ligaments so they don’t snap back immediately after a session (the ever-so-dreaded “turtle”). Peace out yo.
