I’m not sure what you mean could you clarify? Do you mean is it necessary to condition with jelqs and stretching for six months before doing the girth moves even if you are hanging? If that is what you mean, then yes you still need to do light jelqing and build up to the advanced girth exercises even if you were hanging. Because it puts a different kind of stress on. But not for six months though, 3 should do, gradually increasing the intensity as you go.
