That is a great thread, I should have pointed you to it, my apologies.
Congrats on the gain. It seems you are paying close attention to the nuances of the jelq. This will serve you well in getting gains.
I am confused as to why you are getting spotting from a “extra soft” jelq. I have always thought there is a lot of confusion as far as how things are described. For example, what exactly is “extra soft”, “moderate”, etc.
In New Jelq City, it is my impression that cheeva is recommending a lower erection level than what I have used to great success. But it is hard to say. I think I described it in that thread.
After some months with the New Jelq City jelqs, I think there might be two kinds of them:
1. Lowest erection level jelqs that have a significant amount of stretching action to them. I use minimal lubrication when doing them. I also have to be careful as there is not as much cushioning from engorgement, it seems that I often can get sharp pains. I think it is because the tissues are delicate, and a grip that gets some stretch out of it also easily hurts the tissues. I have had good length gains from them, but have to be very careful about the sharp pains.
2. A little higher erection level that massages the deep tissues. This is at an erection level that is as plump as I can be without any rigidity. I can still bend it 45 degrees, but it is very plump. I can feel the rigidity set in at a certain point, and let the erection subside if it does. I can still jelq downward comfortably. Maintaining this erection level is difficult. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, and I have to basically abandon the workout. Sometimes it seems I have to go about 25% of the workout before my penis sort of goes on auto pilot in terms of erection. Sometimes it will just stay at the right erection level without me trying, I can think about almost whatever I want and it just sort of stays at the right level. It seems to help to be extra horny. When I am not that horny, the rigidity sets in too easily, or I can’t keep enough plumpness.
The reason I like this 2nd kind of jelq is that I am able to have a grip that massages the deep tissues. If I have rigidity, then it is like the clay has hardened, and I can’t work hard clay. I also think the rigidity causes slight injury as there is no cushioning to offset the grip.
Keep paying close attention to each jelq and exactly how it feels. This has worked well for me, very, very well. Having made 2, my latest goal is 3 inches BPEL gain. This is all from jelqing, but trying to pay close attention to the nuances of the jelq.
Sept. 4, '07: BPEL 6.875 inches, EG widest 5.25
