Jelqing dry sore skin

Apologies if this is the wrong area, as a newbie I can only post in a few places.
I’m uncut, I think this is important.
I’ve been doing the JP 90 day routing and am about 74 days through and have noticed an odd problem that I can’t see referenced elsewhere. After doing the exercises and cleanup I find that when my foreskin is back in its normal position, where the glans is fully covered, the skin right at the end is really dry and cracked etc. I guess this is the skin that is stressed during stretching but isn’t touched during Jelqing.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? How do you stop it? Should I be worried? I’ve been moisturizing after exercising and that seems to help.
I’ve been exercising in private as the Missus doesn’t know I’m doing them. I don’t want her getting her hopes up in case I get no gains
