Just a couple of questions

Just joined and just had my first session of the Newbie routine.
I just have a couple of questions that arose -
For the stretches, how hard approx should I be pulling? I gripped with an OK grip and pulled pretty hard, but nowhere near to the limit of my strength as I think this may make my glans pop clean off. :)
With the Jelqs, how firm should the grip be? A real death grip?
Also, I kind of felt it would be better if I kept one hand with a firm ok grip at the base throughout the jelqs whilst jelqing with the other (and swap after a few minutes maybe)- Is this possible?
Also, how on earth do you guys keep a consistent erection level throughout? Mine varied wildly from pretty erect to completely flaccid. If this occurs should I stop and try to get it back in the right zone before continuing?
Finally, I feel no pain now. 2 hours later. Is that normal?
