Measurement
Hi,
just wondering if most of you measure with a ruler that has some leading space before the measurement scale starts. It seems to make quite a difference with the measurements.

Believe it or not, this has been noticed before. One way to do it is to measure the empty space your ruler has or saw the piece of it. Also there are rulers without the space.

I’m using drafting rule for measuring…it’s triangular in shape, rounded on the end so you don’t get the bayonet effect into the pubis. It does however have about 3/8” lead-in, but overall it’s very easy to get a consistent measure from .

I press the ruler on my pubic bone. This compensates the 0,3 inch of free space, well maybe a bit more, but who cares.

Ditto. My engeering scale has a .3” lead-in space. Trust me, it’s exactly .3”. My dorky enginerd ass measured it with a micrometer.

IAM: Even if your rule have no free space, I think that you have to press it to your pubic bone, to mesure the “erecy pubic pressed lenght” (EBPL).
