My first post

My first post

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone in the Thunders community and say thank you to everyone who runs, maintains, and contributes useful information to the website. I started checking the site out every now and then a couple of years ago, tried a few light routines out of curiosity, but then just sorta stopped after 2 weeks. But now I’m back and I want to try and stick with it for at least a year on a consistent basis. I’ve read most of the main newbie threads and have been learning a lot the past few days. I just wanted to ask a few questions anyway despite the redundancy just to get a few different opinions if you guys wouldn’t mind.

How many jelqs and kegels should I stick to for the first 2-3 months or so? I’d like to keep it slightly on the lighter side since I’ve read a lot about new PE’ers getting equal or greater gains with more gradual workouts not to mention, more importantly, reducing the chances of injury.

How long should I wait until I incorporate things like hanging, Ulis, clamping etc.. Into my routines? Any advice on which ones to go for first and which ones to stay away from or use sparingly?

How does everyone feel about the 2 days ON 1 day REST rule? How would it effect gains if someone decided to do say every other day, or 3 times a week such as mon/wed/fri? Would this be detrimental to progress or would it only result in slower gains while still being able to reach X goal, just in a few extra months?

Ok, well I’ll leave it at that for now. Don’t want to ramble too much on my first post, haha. Anywayz, glad to be a part of the community, good luck to everyone and be safe, I know I will.

Welcome!! :D

Yes Thunder’s is quite an awesome place, not just for the wealth of PE information either. This community tends to be incredibly supportive and informative on all matters of life.

Personally I’ve never counted the amount of jelqs, I always do it based on a specified amount of time. Using that approach I would say you should jelq for about 10 minutes for the first few weeks (since you want a lighter routine). The general consensus is to follow the “Newbie Routine” and stick with it for AT LEAST 3 months before you being incorporating any other advanced techniques. As far as the advanced techniques go, I think it depends on what exactly your goals are, as specific exercises tend to be more effective for length or girth.

2 days on, 1 day off works WONDERFULLY. As time goes on you may want to increase the days on, but 2 days on 1 day off is the standard. I believe that it is the best way to steady gains without over-doing it.

What are your current measurements and what are your future goals?

Make sure you take starting pictures, because once you start gaining you will want to see your progress; it is VERY inspiring to visually perceive the improved erection quality, vascularity , length/girth gains in addition to having measured evidence.

Started: 10-18-08 BPEL: 6.3 inches; BPEG: 4.8 inches.

Currently: BPEL 7.4 inches; BPEG: 5.2 inches

Goal: BPEL:8-8.5 inches; BPEG: 6 inches.

Thanks for the reply Headstrong,

BPEL: 6.3”
BPEG: 5.4” near base, 5.2” about 2 cm below the glans.

Do most people go by base, mid-shaft, upper, or just average?

Also, is it considered an accurate measurement if you use a soft measuring tape for BPEL by just using your thumb to press in just above the penis or is the rigid ruler press the universal standard? The reason I ask is, I have a moderate upward curvature so I was wondering if it was acceptable to run the measuring tape along the top contour while holding the penis parallel to the floor, which results in marginally longer measurements.

Also, how much of a difference should there be between BPEL and regular EL? I know for heavier guys it’ll be a bigger difference, but I’m in decent shape and I still find almost a 1/2 inch difference, does that sound correct?

1 year goal : 7” x 5.75”
End goal : 8” x 6”

Welcome, please stay active and post often. I have been a member for years, and just recently I became an active poster. It’s weird but you feel a sense of accountability sometimes, since you know you are not alone and people are cheering you on. Welcome to the brotherhood.

Things like hanging, Ulis, clamping, etc, to my knowledge these are considered to be somewhat advance exercises, and most suggest 5-6 months of conditioning before you can tackle those routines. Just take it slow and you will grow.

Best Wishes Zerone.

No problem!! It took me a little longer to return to your thread, my bad.

Based on what I’ve seen I believe most people use Mid-shaft girth (MSEG is the acronym employed). Technically though I guess taking all three measurements and averaging them would give you the most complete picture of your girth. That seems like it would become tedious though so I wouldn’t recommend it. LOL

I’ve seen some posters who use measuring tape for measuring BPEL, I think it’s a matter of individual preference. I always use (and prefer) the ruler, and I’m curved to the right. I just bend it and measure it to get the full length. I assume it would work the same with an upward curve but again if you feel like you would rather use soft tape then that’s what you go by. The main thing is that whatever method you use, that’s the one you stick with so that you can accurately track your results (remember that with PE consistency is the KEY).

As far as the difference between BPEL and EL I think it definitely varies by guy, and ofcourse body composition. If you want you can take both BPEL and Non-BPEL (NBPEL or EL) measurements and document both.

So your goals are the ‘standard’ 8X6 huh. Interesting…your starting size is the same as mine. I hope your growth rate is similiar as well, because I hit 7 inches of length in less than 6 months. I’m not really too concerned with my girth right now, since I’m focusing on length (it is generally held that focusing on length first and then girth yields the best results for both).

We share the same “short term” goals, but you’ve got a head start. :)

Start: Dec 2009 - 5.75 [BPEL] x 5.25 [MSEG] 5.5 [BASE]

April 2010 - 6.00 [BPEL x 5.3 [MSEG] 5.5 [BASE]

Current Goal: - 7.00 NBPEL x 5.75 [MSEG & BASE]
