That’s 1” in about 5 months. Start with light weight and stick with it as long as possible until you plateau, then move up the weight slowly.

After I get to the “7 inch club” I want to work on girth (I will use bathmate pump)

I didn’t do the newbie routine. I jumped straight into hanging. Everyone recommends to start with newbie routine.

I think you should hang first as you will have a hard time getting length gains after getting girth gains, but not the other way around. Everyone says don’t start with hanging because it is a commitment of a large chunk of daily time to get your 16+hrs a week

I wouldn’t start by hanging. I gained almost 1” just by jelqing and pumping. More with an extender. I may try hanging eventually, but I’ve gotten to know my penis in ways that will make my hanging safer.
