It’s normal to be skeptical, this isn’t mainstream science. I think at one point everybody here was the same way, but also curious and here we are today.
As people mentioned, the Newbie Routine or something at least close is the best way to start. Some say go even a little lighter, but nobody says do more. I made the mistake of going too hard at it quickly; whereas some my break their unit, I was lucky that I didn’t get harmed but I also haven’t gained in that time either. I wont say those months were wasted because I have experience from it but it probably has set me back a little; I would tell my past self to chill a little and take it slow. This is the advice I give to you.
I do disagree with some that you should hurry and buy some equipment though. Dip your toes in PE and see how you feel about it before diving in the deep end. PE equipment is not cheap, and many gain without ever spending a penny/cent on anything except lube or coconut oil.
I rushed and bought a SizeGenetics extender which I tried a couple of times but I personally dont like it. It cost me around 200$ if I rememember right, and im still waving goodbye to that money.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here and somebody will answer and just the same, my inbox is always open if its within my extent to help or offer advice (mostly on what not to do!) but also on what is working for me now.
