Occasional Mid-shaft Bruising

Hello everyone! Still figuring out a decent pumping routine, and have a question I’m hoping someone has an answer to.

Typical daily routine:
- Using an ADS between 4-6 hours total while working
- At lunch, I’m able to do a pumping session most weekdays since I currently work remote.
- Mix soft clamping in ‘every other day’ (usually only end up doing it 3 times out of the week, MWF).

I’m finding a bit of busing occurring during my pumping, but only on the mid-shaft. When I say mid-shaft, it’s right where my upward curve starts, which is about 5/8 of the way from base to tip of the head. No bruising at the base, no fluid pockets, no red spots elsewhere, just that one area. This happens mostly with the manual pump (9”x1.75” cylinder). Typically doing 3 rep, 5 min, 3-4 min. Cool down in-between, doing rolls and pulls to regain blood flow.

I’m manual pumping between 3-5 pounds, which I believe is right around standard? Difficult to tell approx. Pressure with the Bathmate, but I can feel the pressure between the two and I’d say it’s similar. Been doing this particular routine for about a month now, doesn’t always happen, warm-up is about the same (hot wrap, stretching, using hot water in the Bathmate). If I go for a ‘full pressure’ pump on the remaining minute (3 rep, 5 min) with the Bathmate, I *might* see bruising, but rarely happens. The bruising is gone by the next day, I don’t feel any pain, only see the discoloration. I do hold off for 2-3 days if this occurs to prevent any possible damage, and refrain from manual pumping for a few days longer.

I switch between a Bathmate Hydromax, and a LeLuv manual pump. If I start out flaccid with the Hydromax, work to full erect on pump 2 or 3, everything is fine. Still cannot go fully erect on the first pump, pressure feels a bit much still (I know this comes with time). Manual pumping, I start off flaccid also, and go in semi-erect on pump 2 and 3.

Is this potentially occurring on the manual pump due to the curve? Only reason I can think so is the attempt to ‘straighten’ out in the 1.75” cylinder. I fill out near fully at the base [roughly 5.5 I’m guessing], tapers a bit thinner towards the mid-shaft [I can see some gap unlike at the base from most angles], and the head is full on all sides. But you can almost see it trying to straighten out the shaft while under pressure. If this is the case, should I move up a size (2.0”), being mindful to not to go too big as to pull testicles in while pumping? I’ve definitely seen some gains between the pumping, jelqing, and stretching over the last 3 months (about 0.2” in girth, around 0.3” in length), but I don’t want to risk damage to myself but also don’t want to hinder progress and lose potential gains.

I type all over the place, sorry for that, but hopefully someone has seen this before and can offer any possible recommendations. Thanks for your time.
