I don’t think I’m measuring against the ligs if I understood an earlier response right. I mean, I try to press to the pubic bone itself, so I don’t think the ruler would have any interaction with the ligaments. If anything, me pulling myself taught is the stretch on them. I like the idea about measuring at a different angle to try to eliminate the ligament factor though and try to isolate pure shaft growth, I’m going to experiment with that.
To answer some earlier questions, I don’t think my BP gains have been from weight loss. I’m 35, weigh about 143, have pretty low body fat. I usually push about an inch into the skin before hitting bone. I also try to keep my pelvis in the same position, so as not to have the area of bone I’m pressing against tilted out or in one way or another.
As far as my jelqing method, usually it’s lubed up, and overhand - I just find that the most comfortable. I’m relatively new and have trouble sticking to a regular routine which may also be a contributing factor to slow progress. But I try to do it no less than 3x a week, usually 4 - for at least 20 minutes. I’ve been experimenting with a different way as well..
Instead of just using fingers 1 and 2 and making the OK and going up the shaft , I grab the base far down as I can, kegel in some blood, and squeeze up from the base from the pinky on up until it’s just my 1 and 2 finger and I’m at the OK again (imagine grabbing it at the bottom and closing your hand one finger at a time from 5-1,and releasing as I go up until I’m left with the OK - it’s kinda like that) - but when I do it that way, I find there’s a LOT more pressure. The head and shaft are really filled up hard. Once I’m like that I can’t really move my fingers up too much at that tight grip without causing discomfort, so I do some ‘mini jelqs’. Maybe 20 small forward thrusts with my fingers, stopping when I feel the most resistance. I can only move a cm or 2 when I’m that pumped up though.
I’m not positive if I’m getting the same physical response as I would from the more traditional method, I do notice that it doesn’t seem as swollen afterwards (that edema like state) - which I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing.
I definitely agree that any growth is a good sign, I just hope I’m causing the organ itself to restructure, and not stretch the ligs. I’m definitely not giving up even if I need to keep at my semi-frequent pace, and will keep you guys posted if I notice any changes.
Even with that modified jelq method I mentioned, I still don’t get those ‘red marks’ that other guys seem to get. Maybe I’m just too scared to apply so much force - but like I read somewhere or other on here, we each get one penis and we’re responsible for keeping it working well — so I’d rather err on the side of caution and not go too far into the area of discomfort or pain. I’d love to get to that ‘magic 8’, but won’t do me much good if I can’t feel a thing.
