Poll

Can someone explain to me how to create a poll. I want to make one but I can’t figure out how to do it.

I think your 14 day confinement to the Newbie Forum is up tomorrow (may be today) and you have more than 20 posts. It will make it easier if you can select the Polls forum when you create the poll rather than creating it in the Newbie forum and having a moderator move it.

Once you’re able to post in any forum, go to that forum (in this case the Polls Forum) and select the “new thread” button like you did to create your post in this thread. Write your introduction, which will be the first post in the thread. Explain what you want to learn from the poll and give any instructions you may have for those who respond.

At the bottom of the new thread window you select “yes” in the Post A Poll section and tell the software how many selections the poll should have. This means you have to write out your options in advance. For example, if you want to know how many times a day someone does their PE exercises you could say:

Once
Twice
Three times
More than three times.

That would be four options. You then post the new thread. Before it is visible to the public, you get to enter your options and decide if they are single or multiple choice. When you complete the second page of the new thread it will be posted for all to see.

If you mess up, a moderator can edit the poll later. Or throw it out and let you start again.
