Removing Tape Residue

I’ve been using 3M Micropore tape for the past week, while hanging with the LG Hanger. I think the tape works wonders and is fantastic to use as support tape. But when removing the tape it leaves an unbelievable amount of residue all over my glands. Has anyone had any success with a lubricant that they’ve previously used to remove it with ease? I’ve tried the warm water routine where you dip your glands in warm water and let the tape soak. But that still left residue. I scrubbed a good 15 mins in the shower the other night and was still covered in it when I got out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was going to try olive oil as that has helped remove residue from bandaids. But I don’t know if that’s a wise decision. I also did a search on the boards which led me to the warm water routine. Which is great for removing the tape, just not the residue that comes with it.

Alcohol or olive oil.

Alcohol isn’t a good idea. Repeated exposure can cause you to develop an allergy to rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) which could complicate things for you should you ever need to use an IV or do lab work since rubbing alcohol is usually used for sanitization of the skin.
