Routine; gain, no gain... thin line?

Hi,

I am modifying my routine quite often, changing reps-amount, time of session, day-combos…

So, I am wondering if all these small adjustments as…

for example…

- changing days from 3active, 1rest, to… 2/1, or even 1/1…

- making 15min jelqs instead of 25min

- 4 sets of 5-directions stretch instead of 2 sets…

Having these changes in mind, fiffling around…
Do these make a matter of, whether or not you may see gains? Is the human body a robot?

Until I see gains, I am wondering these things… :)
