Stretching Question

Hey guys.. Long time listener, first time caller.. I am about a month in to a simple routine and have a question. When you stretch, do you hold back the skin at the base with your other hand so you just stretch the shaft only or do you let the skin at the base stretch also? After about a month I can see where I seem to be getting like a fat roll at the base and I don’t like it. I want to get the most benefit I can.
