I use an X4 with a Velcro strap. I wrap with a self sticking “Ace” type bandage. After inserting my shaft into the strap, I grab my head and upper part of the shaft with the fingers of one hand and stretch the shaft as far as i can past the strap while simultaneously pushing the cradle all the way down with my other hand until the corona of the glans is out beyond the outer edge of the strap by at least 1/2 inch. Now I move the index finger of the hand holding the glans over to the top of the cradle to keep it maintained all the way down which frees up the other hand to tighten the Velcro strap. When finished strapping in and waiting a minute or 2 to let everything settle in place, the corona must be at least 1/4 inch (more is better) beyond the outer edge of the tightened strap . If I do not have at least 1/4 inch between the corona and the strap, I release everything and start over again until I do. Once I am properly strapped in, I can slowly screw out the extenders to maintain 900 gr which usually works out to an additional inch over the course of an hour, If you can’t get the 1/4 inch, you need to shorten the extender bars.
I do not know how other extenders work, but this procedure works well with my X4, As long as the strap istarts at least 1/4 inch below the corona, I have very little slippage until the tension exceeds 900 gr.
