Thunders Begins

Hey Thunders,

For some of us newer guys, can you tell us when Thunders Place began, and how long it got to get established, and whether any of the original guys are still about. I’ve noticed threads from quite a few years ago.

Just been to see the new Batman movie, but I watched “Batman Begins” first so got wonder about origins!

I am pretty sure that none of the original guys are still around.

They tell me that the first Thunder is retired and living like a king in Patagonia.

The first Thunders Place failed because it made it too easy to get a big dick. Newbies were gaining, like 2 or 3 inches over just a couple of weekends, and eventually even the “agents” or should I say moderators became miserable because there was no challenge.

So then they rebuilt Thunders, and programmed in some difficulties. They made it easy for newbies to gain say, half an inch quite quickly, but after that things were slowed right down. The “Oracle” then created the terms PI and EQ and tried to give a systematic way to help the gains keep going after the newbie stage. Whereas the old Thunders got hardly any threads started - because no one was having trouble gaining, the new Thunders got flooded by huge amounts of posts, so all seemed well.

Of course the Oracle long ago predicted that one day there would be someone who would gain so quickly and so continuously that he would be a light unto all the others. Several false prophets have been heralded, but most of them turned out to be tricksters who had been corrupted by becoming to familiar with an application called photoshop.

Hey UK Joe,

There are a couple of threads here, no clue where they are though or what search term to use to find them, that give a little history about how this place started.

There are a handful of the first hundred members still around.

Maybe someone will figure out how to locate those threads and post a link here.

BTW, the forum will be EIGHT YEARS OLD this month.

The 22nd of this month if my memory serves me correctly.

You kid, wrt gains, but I’ve noticed that “in the beginning” people were recording HUGE gains. Like 3.5”+, etc. Also there’s some funny progress threads, guys with comments like “gained 1.5” this month, things are slowing down. I’m now up to 2.75” gained in 6 months of PE’ing”.

I think as PE became more “self-aware” that absurd claims have basically stopped. The bullshit detector / reality-distortion field is basically inpenetrable now.

Go through some 2001-ish threads, lot of HUGE claims. Non-existent now, guys consider (rightly so) 1” in a year to be huge progress. Seems as more people are aware of what’s possible through PE that things are a lot more believable, and wild claims aren’t made (or laughed off).
