In the newbie routine, it suggests 10 min of jelqing(200 total jelqs) however, I find it rather difficult to accomplish 200. If I only do each jelq for only the recommended 3 sec, I find I lose the pressure buildup in the shaft. Should I do the jelqs quicker and loosen my grip? Or should I maintain the heavy pressure buildup?

Try doing a kegel every ten strokes or so and see if that helps. You can also experiment with a quicker stroke or a looser grip. It will take you awhile to get the right balance. Everybody goes through this when they first start exercising I think.
