Ultrasound Safety

Ultrasound Safety

I am wanting to start using ultrasound to make my routine more effective and was curious about what precautions need to be taken to keep it relatively safe. I have read kyrpa’s initial ultrasound post and it seems that the penile temp should be kept under 45C. Does anyone have any practical guidance on how to do this without needing to probe myself? I am primarily concerned with overheating to the point of causing permanent damage.

If anyone has any help that would be greatly appreciated! I’ve tried using the search function but since the ultrasound threads are so long I haven’t been having much luck.

Thanks,
NMG

The thermocouple will tell for sure.

Awesome. Thank you for your reply. From your understanding are there any other safety precautions that need to be taken when using ultrasound?

I’ve done PE off and on for about 5 years with moderate, but temporal results and am hoping with some consistency and a more effective method I will be able get the results I am looking for.

Not that I’m aware of, but the ultrasound prootcols are complex and I haven’t been following them closely. It would be worth your time to read the threads from Tutt and Kyrpa, who have spent years developing the protocols.

If nothing else, I’m sure there are useful tips in there that will maximize the return on your time and effort.
