V Jelq Alternative

Just started the JP90 routine and not a fan of the V Jelq. I looked up alternatives and found the ultimate v jelq technique (where you invert the V and use your other hand to squeeze your fingers together) Only problem is my unit will twist.
I started trying something different and would like some feedback.
I make an L with my index finger and thumb, then squeeze them together like I’m trying to hold a pencil in the web of my thumb. I do the same with my other hand and put my thumbs side by side. I put my shaft between my index fingers, which are pointing down, with my thumbs on top. Then I jelq, applying pressure with the sides of my index fingers.
My thumbs make it easy to avoid twist and I can change how much pressure I apply with my index fingers easily.
Just looking for feedback towards efficiency.
