Varicocele and jelqing

Varicocele and jelqing

I was just wondering if it is possible that jelqing can cause a varicocele. I noticed I had a varicocele after two weeks of jelqing. Of course it may just be a coincidence, but I didn’t notice it until I started jelqing. Also, is it a reason to stop jelqing, or is it safe to continue?

You probably had it before you started jelking. (You are sure it is a varicocele and not something else?) If you jelk fairly rapidly, you are going to make your testicles move rapidly, too.

Try slower stokes with more “pull” than bounce.

If it is painful, get it checked out by a urologist. Unattended they can become not only annoying but also affect your fertility. You may or may not care about that part, but the pain thing can become pretty vicious.

I am pretty sure it is a varicocele because it is on the left side, and I am between 15 and 25, which is most common. It isn’t painful. I am supposed to just wait for it to go away, go to the doctor, or is there some other way to get rid of it?

Varicoceles don’t often just go away. Safest to have it looked it if it begins to bother you, like develops swelling there, or pain or heat. Meanwhile, don’t aggitate it more than you need to. Jelk slower, maybe?

Naturopathic Treatment

A low fiber, highly refined diet ?one that relies heavily on white flour products, sugar, and processed foods rather than fresh vegetables, whole grains, and fruits ?is thought to be a contributing factor to varicocele formation. A lack of dietary fiber may slow down the bowels and contribute to constipation by hardening and drying the stool. Constipation stresses the pelvic floor by putting pressure on the veins when the bowels move. This repeated pressure strains the vessel walls and may damage vessel tissue.

Another contributing factor to varicocele formation is the lack of flavinoid-rich foods. Flavinoids, which are found in abundance in fresh vegetables and fruits, have been shown to contribute to the structural integrity of blood vessels.

Diet Recommendations

Include: Eat a “whole foods” diet that focuses on fresh vegetables and fruits (lots of richly pigmented berries to strengthen vessel walls); whole grains; fish and poultry; flax seed oil or other EFAs (essential fatty acids) found in fish oil, olive oil and nuts; and drink plenty of fresh water. Choose organically raised foods when possible.
Avoid: Processed foods, fast foods, junk foods, animal fats, hydrogenated oils and margarine, sugar and white flour products, alcohol and caffeine.
Extra fiber: Add 1 tablespoon psyllium seed husk fiber and/or 6 to 8 tablespoons flax seed meal and/or a cup oat bran daily to diet. Remember to increase water intake to 2 to 3 liters daily.
Supplemental Nutrition
Bioflavinoids: 1000 mg daily
Vitamin C: 1000 mg 3 times a day with meals
Zinc: 30 mg daily
Vitamin E: 400 IU daily
Herbal Therapeutics
Herbal remedies usually do not have side effects associated with regular use at the suggested doses. Rarely, an herb at the prescribed dose causes stomach upset or headache. This may reflect the purity of the preparation or added ingredients such as synthetic binders or fillers. For this reason it is recommended that you use only high quality, standardized extract formulas.
If possible, consult with a natural health practitioner such as a holistic medical doctor or licensed naturopathic physician before starting any alternative treatment plan. As with all medications, more is not better and overdosing can lead to serious illness and, in rare cases, death.

The following herbs may tone, strengthen, and improve the function of veins:

Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) ?50 mg escin standardized extract daily.
Butcher抯 Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) ?10% ruscogenin standardized extract, 100 mg 3 times a day.
Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) ?25% anthocyanoside, 150 mg 3 times a day.
Physical Medicine
Kegel exercises to improve blood flow and muscle tone

Good luck my friend and keep in touch.

Thank you very much for feedback. The first time I noticed it I was all freaked out, but there is no pain, it’s just kind of uncomfortable. I must admit my eating habits aren’t very good, so I guess I’ll have to eat healthier foods.

I have varicocele in my “left one” since 5 years ago. My doctor says my sperm is good and I should only remove it (do the operation) if it bothers me.

It is true that varicocele can affect fertility, but just temporalily. I mean, if it is affecting your sperm, when you remove the inflamed vein, your sperm will return to normality.

BTW, the operation is very simple one. Fast, easy, and really really safe to do. I just don’t go for it because I can stand the eventual bothering sensation in my testicle and I don’t want scars in my body. But if it starts to bother me more or if it is affecting my sperm, I will take it away and believe, there is nothing to be afraid. Ask your doctor about the operation, he’ll tell you about it much better than me.

Good Luck

Thanks vogon !
I was very happy to hear from you !
You encourage me a lot .
Hope we can talk about our problem often .

I’m going to set up a doctors appointment. The surgery doesn’t sound too bad, but I don’t really want them to screw around with my veins. Can the Naturopathic treatment fix heal the problem, or just make it not as bad. I’ve read from several sources that kegels do help because they improve blood flow and muscle tone (as mentioned above by umudwar), but wouldn’t I have a negative effect because it puts more pressure on the veins and increases the amount of blood travelling through them?

When you see the doctor and make your decision, keep in mind that surgeries to the penis and testicles heal very quickly, relatively speaking, because the arterial network in these organs is so expansive.

The reason why left testicles have large veins is that blood from left testicles need to come near kidney and there connect to main vein at 90 degrees. It is a problem for left testis to remove large amount of blood which you collect while jelqing. Surgery is very simple, it is not performed on penis or testis and with surgery you get another connection which will enable quick blood flow from left testis. This is the reason why your right testis is not affected. Problems with fertility may come if you have large varicocele, because spermatogenesis is temperature sensitive. I think in long way that surgery is only solution.
