Vitamin D3 K2 and alleged Penile Growth

Vitamin D3 K2 and alleged Penile Growth

By chance, I came across this "study" by Norman Shealy:

https://www.res earchgate.net/p … ith_Vitamin_D_3

Abstract:
Fourteen adult men volunteered to participate in an experiment to evaluate the potential for penile growth as a result of taking 50,000 units of vitamin D 3 and 100 mcg of vitamin K 2 daily. Penis length increased an average of 0.46 inches and circumference increased an average of 0.523 inches, both statistically significant. These results are comparable to those obtained with use of a vacuum pump or with surgical augmentation. We suggest that men interested in penis augmentation consider this much simpler and safer approach when they are interested in penis enlargement.

Some of you might know that he published similar "study" with an equally small sample on Pumping.

The question is:
a) Is Norman Shealy pulling our legs? He is a strong proponent of strong D3 and K2 supplementation for the entire populace, as he thinks most people have a deficiency.

b) Is Norman Shealy a fraud or a quack ?

Has anybody experimented with this?

Well he first study was done in 2009 so if it had any validity it would be common practice now and that guy would be wealthy.

How would you get wealthy from 2 off the shelf vitamins? Also seems to be a lack of science giving us reasons why they experienced growth and a rather small sample size. It also seems like an extremely high amount of Vitamin D3…. When does Vitamin D become toxic?

PE rules!!!

Sept ‘17: 5-3/4” BPEL X 4-1/8” MSEG

Now: 6-1/2” BPEL X 4-5/8” MSEG

50,000 IU of Vitamin D3 per day is definitely overkill. I’ve only seen that prescribed as a once per month dosage for deficient elderly. However, I was deficient and my doctor put me on 5,000IU per day. It takes a long time for it to build up in your system. After two years, i went from 30 to about 80 ng/mL, and have stayed there.

Conventional medicine will tell you that being above 30 and less than 50 ng/mL is optimum. However, the latest studies show that getting it above 50ng/mL is better. They both tend to agree that levels above 150ng/mL is toxic. It’s best to keep them below 100ng/mL.

Here’s a good resource to give you an idea of how much it takes to change your levels based on your current level and assuming you’re 150lbs in weight.
I tested my vitamin D level. What do my results mean?

JUN-01-17: BPEL 6 1/4" MEG 4 1/4" || JAN-20-18: BPEL 7" MEG 4 3/4"

Short Term Goal: BPEL 7 1/2" MEG 5.0" --> Long Term Goal: 9x6

My Progress thread: Oldjake's Progress Report

Seems iffy really. Everyone in the sample gained what we at TP know to be extremely large amounts for those 3/6 months. I know it’s a small sample but it feels like the numbers were just made up.

My progress log and pics

Jan 2016: 8.0" BPEL 5.3" MEG

Feb 2020: 8.5" BPEL 5.4" MEG

I am sorry for sounding this way but that write-up looks like it was written by a horny, nerdy 11 year old.

Janus Here,

At first I didn’t know what to do with the information in the paper either. I decided to do a bit of digging and found it can powerfully influence smooth muscle cell migration. This is something that runs parallel to my own research findings. Furthermore it has been shown to exert effects on Endothelial Progenitor cells. While I cannot speak to its ability to cause male sexual organ growth—it would appear to, at the very least, encourage the process.

Given that public nudity is generally frowned upon and clothing directly blocks the sun from reaching our skin…deficiency would be highly likely. I know that a while back, people began noticing how tanning and sun exposure seemed to powerfully affect libido in men. This would be a reasonable explanation for those anecdotal claims.
