What are considered acceptable short term pumping gains?

I started pumping on a fairly cheap adam&eve air pump. Thing doesn’t even have a pressure meter, but it wasn’t expensive and I was curious. Nonetheless, I get this thing and I’ve been using it every day. Its been five days, and I’m starting the first day of my two day break today. I do about ten minutes of pumping and dumping, dropping all the pressure 1 sec after I hit maximum pressure before I get slightly uncomfortable. I follow that up with my normal stretching routine I’ve been doing for years, with a short jelq session and then a cooldown.

I started my first break today since getting a pump, and I’m nearly 1/2 an inch longer. A week ago I was 7.5 inches, and today I measured in at one notch below 8 inches. I understand that these probably aren’t permanent gains, but I’m curious if this is just too much length in general to gain in such little time. I haven’t had any discomfort or visual damage at all, but it doesn’t necessarily seem like a healthy amount to put on rapidly. Any advice is appreciated. My first post after reading for quite awhile ^-^

“Considered acceptable”? What does that mean? “Considered acceptable” by who? Maybe you meant to say “considered realistic”. There really is no one right answer. Just be careful pumping without a gauge. Which it sounds like you are. If you’re gaining and not injuring yourself, I would keep doing what you’re doing.

Acceptable as in before the point where there’s no way I’m not hurting myself XD

Still, no one else can really tell you. Your PE sessions should never cause pain. That, and keep an eye on your physiologic indicators. If your penis feels good and works well, carry on. Congrats on your early gain!

If you can afford to get one with a gauge rather then playing Russian roulette without a gauge. Good job on the gains!

Yeah. The pump handle on this one is starting to get a little stiff anyways, think I may need a replacement for at least the handle. If I’m going to replace that I may as well put a different hose on and add a gauge myself. I could buy a nicer one but I like the dimensions of this tube a lot and don’t really want to outgrow it over the next few years. (assuming it lasts that long lol)

Just flipping thru the forums when I was contemplating buying a pump I had read some posts mentioning that, although you may gain quickly from pumping, it isn’t uncommon for your length to revert back to normal after you stop pumping for an extended period of time. That’s more what I was expecting this to be, especially considering how new I am to pumping compared to much more advanced forum members. I suppose I just don’t expect the best case scenario is all. Oh well.. Congrats on the gains :)
