What is this tension I feel and should I rest?

Some ten days ago when doing my PE workout on the second working day of the “two days on, one off” schedule, I started to notice that my penis didn’t fully recover from the previous session. Even with a moderate stretch I felt something in the tunica, I don’t know how to call it, it’s not pain, but it’s the feeling similar as using a muscle that hasn’t recovered from the workout in the gym. At first I didn’t realize what’s going on, so I continued with the “2 on 1 off” schedule. However, I read in several posts here that it’s essential to give my penis enough rest, and that another workout should wait until penis completely recovers from the previous one. So I took an additional rest day yesterday, and PEed today. If I feel this tension in the tunica again tomorrow (and, BTW, I don’t feel that tension unless I stretch the penis, I feel it only during the stretch), should I do my PEing or rest again until the feeling is gone?

It seems that most of this tension I feel is on the skin, but I’m not sure. Does anyone else have similar sensations?

Sometimes I feel it on the skin, sometimes deep inside in what I now know is called the tunica- you ask a good question- should I wait until the soreness dissipates or drive on?

[I assume that the soreness is a good sign]

I had that feeling once. I would wait for it to fade away and than go on. That is probably because you caused too much strain in your dick and in my opinion it’s indicator to let it rest.

Mild soreness is fine Anything more than that should be treated as what it is…a warning that something is wrong.

If you feel any pain, you should stop all PE until the injury has recovered.

Lately I have been having similar problems. Sometimes my penis is a little smaller than normal but feels very tense and harder to stretch. Are these signs of over training or inadequate rest?

Yes, that is possible.

It may also be a sign that you are not warming up properly.

Many newbies make the mistake of inadequately warming up and are risking a seriously injury.

I cannot over state the importance of warming up correctly.

I feel it also, like when you do your first stretch and it feels tense and has a dull sensation deep inside like an overworked muscle. To me, that’s my unit saying ‘take the day off.’

I’ve also recently started to jelq while flaccid, as some members suggested, but in their case the erection builds up over time. I don’t find jelqing arousing, and stay flaccid during it, but I thought that it shouldn’t be a problem. Or is it a problem?

I thought that I could continue to jelq even without erection becouse enough blood was pumped into my penis anyway.

I start jelqing at about 10-30% of erection. Then sometimes I increase to 50%, (start thinking of my girlfriend, lol) but not for long time, since I´m looking for length, so as far as I know, you have to jelq with low erection levels.

Regarding the stretch feeling. I felt something similar to what you say Nemanja. What I do is train harder the first day after rest. The second day (2on/1off) I train with lower strength and less repetitions. That makes a balance in my exercices.

As a newbie, you should never jelq with an erection anyway. It is simply too dangerous at this stage.
Jelqing does not pump blood into the penis. It forces what blood is in there along and expands the tissues.
As a general rule, if you are looking for girth, jelq at abut 60-70% erection and when looking for length, jelq at around 40-50%.
BUT, that is a general rule to get you started and you need to find the right erection level for you.
For me 30-40 % worked best. Anything less than that (~30%) , I think you may have trouble jelqing properly due to the lack of blood in the penis.

For me at least, my best results have come when I focus on the “feel” on an exercise. You need to experiment and find what feels best for you.

OK, thanx. Yes I know that I need a lower erection level, I read the manual for jelqing. Well, I’ll experiment and see what happens.
