When to begin decon breaks?

I’ve officially passed the 11 week (roughly 2 1/2 months) mark. Gains and PI’s are good. Minor injury here and there. Still on the newbie routine with pumping.

My question is, how long should I go before I take a decon break and how long have some taken for these breaks?

I had planned on staying on routine for six months.


Start: BPEL: 7” MSEG: 5" | Current: BPEL: 8.25” MSEG: 5.75" | Goal: BPEL: 8.5” MSEG: 6"

Theres no set time to take a decon but most people take them when their gains have stalled, when they are injured or when life happens. If you dont need one dont worry about it.


Started BPFSL: 7.2"; BPEL: 7.25"; MSEG: 5.13"; BEG: 5"

Current BPFSL: 8.625"; BPEL: 8.0"; HEG: 5.375"; MSEG: 5.25"; BEG: 5"

Initial Goal : 9 x 6

Another name for them is ‘vacation’. Of course, it has been a while since I went on one.

But as DST said, the indicator is when gains have stalled.


Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

Okay. I was thinking that there may be a best practice or something such as 3 months on and 3 months off that some have followed. Everything thus far is pretty regimented. But I got it, thanks!
