Last thought that troubles me

Ok you said you use only one hand(no stationary) for this excercise but the doupt that I see now I hace is that I can’t make clear what’s the proper way to jelq according to the FAQ guide and what sadsak says.

Do you jelq only one hand at a time touching the penis and going on alternating hands but never have both hands grasp contemporary the penis or do you use one stationary hand ok grip at the base and then jelq on pressure on the shaft with the other thus contemporary having them applied on the penis and alternating their role positions when you reach the glands with the moving hand?

I am looking forward for a clarification.

I am not circumcised so my jelqing techniques have formed to take that into account.

I do (single handed) dry jelqing, where my grip traverses the entire shaft but grips one area of skin. I kegel between strokes but reapply the grip quickly.

I also do lubricated two handed jelqing where as the first hand reaches just below the glans my second grip is already lightly applied a little up the shaft. I then pull back the skin with the second grip while slightly releasing the first grip (enough to allow the skin to move but no more) and grip fully with the second grip. If for one reason or another this is not working smoothly (brain not at 100%, whatever) I just let the skin collect at the glans, effectively ignoring it but at all time the second grip is applied before the full release of the first grip.

If the second grip is applied prior to the release of the first you will find a retained pump from the prior stroke. As your session continues this will have more and more of a noticeable effect.

Be careful in the early stages of jelqing to not apply too much pressure, it needs to be built up gradually to allow your penis to adapt (as with squeezes). Its probably best to avoid kegel assisted jelqing in the early stages. If its painful thats bad, a little soreness is good.

After you grip fully with the second grip you immediately let go the first grip(which lies at the glands) or retain it a little bit till the second grip has advanced past the midshaft?
To make a wild guess if you retain it you enhance upper shaft girth and on the other case if you imm. drop you go for gland growth.
Am I correct?

And indeed I had some pain problems.I tried a lubricated two hand version but after 10 strokes I felt pain (that won’t allow to go on with the rhythm I got) on the upper shaft of the penis feeling it in the inside.

No, I don’t advance the new grip without removing the first grip.

If you are getting pain you are pushing the intensity too quickly. You should be looking at no more than 60% erection and probably not too hard a grip initially (you do not want a tourniquet, some blood must escape past your grip).

If each stroke takes 3 seconds (a good stroke time) I don’t see how you can be just doing 10 strokes ?!? What are you doing the rest of the time? Its supposed to be a fluid thing.

My rhythm was like 1 sec each stroke in a fluid manner as you said (alternating hands) with noteable squeeze pressure while my penis was less than semi ercect-about 25% erect(I have trouble maintaining a “semi-erection” if I go pressing with this rhythm).

So now?

Try a 3 second stroke. Stop if your erection subsides and regain it.

Its not about increasing pressure all the way to the glans as the stroke goes on, its about the wave pressure directly above the stroke and maintaining a good pressure beyond the grip during the stroke.

I will try as you say tomorrow and see how many strokes I can get.

Today I did a lot.

I firstly warmed up with hot water and then started jelqing with the style you described. I don’t know how many I did, maybe it was 200.

What I excperienced is that my foreskin swoll and my glands changed colour from red to purple.

Also sometimes when I get a rhythm and keep it strict I get a strange feeling of numbliness and swollness at the same time that surprises and scares and forces me to stop psychologically.

And I still find it difficult to maintain a semi erection.I stop, regain it and go on.I think that I am able to go on for about 20 strokes with a good semi-erection.

How am I doing?

In lots of ways it sounds good.

How long is your warm up? Are you doing another warm wrap after jelqing?

Rather than starting off at good intensity, work into a good intensity.

The coloring and foreskin swelling is fairly normal. It can be reduced by pulling back the foreskin between strokes or jelqing one handed (dry). As long as you are recovered by the next day, all is good.

When you talk about numbness: are you putting excessive pressure on the top of the shaft and where do you finish your strokes. The dorsal nerve is located on top of the shaft in the middle under skin and fascia only (ie close to the surface) there is also a nerve bundle just before the glans.

Try to avoid excessive pressure to the top of the shaft in this area and definitely try to avoid hitting the nerve bundle by curtailing a stroke up to an inch before the glans. If on some strokes you can locate the webbing between thumb and index finger on the top of the shaft (above the nerve) its probably safer to do a full stroke to the glans.

Check out some of the anatomy diagrams around here. Once you understand how the penis is put together you will be able to make the most of exercises whilst avoiding injury.

Soreness is good pain is bad. Remember as you start to do these exercises your penis is fighting to repel the attack, within 2 months it will be a lot stronger with larger veins. You need to take it easy to start with (but not too easy :) ).

To warm up I let my genitals warm up in hot water for about 2-3 minutes I guess, then dried with a towel. I didn’t do another warm up after jelquing but right now after read your post I repeated a hot wash(this is about 40 mins after finished jelqing).

I start with more energy and be able to understand more.As I go on I feel more and more light headed. I don’t know if I could take over this attitude of working from low to high intensity.

I feel pain on my skin when I dry jelq so I will try to concentrate on pulling back the foreskin between strokes.

Maybe I was pressing too much the dorsal nerve and the nerve bundle you are talking about.I will try to press less on top and see what I may be able to do and find.

What do you mean exactly by “soreness”? I am not english and not sure what it means.

Do I mess up a lot?

Try the hot wrap method of warmup, so at least you know the difference between that and warm water in a cup. I find a warm wrap much better. 2-3 minutes is probably too short a time. Try 5 minutes.

How long are you jelqing? Work up from 5 minutes to 15 minutes over some period maybe 2 weeks to a month.

The difference between soreness and pain is a good question. Soreness could be considered very very mild pain. Does that help?

About the hot wrap I feel that I don’t like it because I imagine it too messy but I will give it a try.Nevertheless, in any case I will remain 5 mins.
Maybe I jelqed for 10-15 mins.I will try 10 tomorrow.
I guess its soreness if something at all, what I am feeling after I jelqued.
