A Great Warm Up Device
When I first started PE’ing I tried a modified rice sock, acutally a rice “sleeve”, to warm up. I made up a couple of these, nuked them before use, and kept them wrapped in a towel prior to use. That way when one cooled down I would switch to the other. This seemed to work well.
I had to take some time off from workouts, but now that I’m at it again I’m trying something else. I’m now using a facial sauna for warm ups. This seems to work great.
I use distilled water to mimimize mineral buildup. It has “high” and “low” settings, and the low setting is best during the warm ups sessions. I place the sauna on a small box, about 8” off the floor, facing away from me and place a towel over it to keep the steam in. Sitting down I can place my “fella” into the plastic “mask” while at the same time keeping my sack out of the heat. The heat is nice and constant, and if it does get too hot I can lift the towel up and allow some of the steam out.
I’ve been using this now for a couple of weeks and enjoy the warm up sessions.
Give it a try if you have one of these around. I bought mine for about $25 new, but you could find one in a second hand store for less than half that.
