A History lesson for us new guys!

but… I might as well ask it. How did this board come into existance? I mean there is references to the EZ board and such. But I am relatively new and would love to know. Could one of you older pe fans tell us about it from like 2 years ago. I heard that PE on the net started back in 97. Please tell us and the new guys, we really want to know the whole story. Like how old is Thunders Place? Just curious. I have some tiny idea, but I think most of the new guys are like huh? every time you guys put it as reference to it in a post. Sorry to be such a pain! there’s one looong ass thread on the BP forum that eventually culminated in several of us involved in an experiment. I suspect Thunder had already been toying with the idea of another forum, but that seems to have set the monster in motion. “Different approach” thread, if I recall correctly. Funny to think back on how things start and what they grow into. The first post on this forum was August 22, 2001. I had been thinking about another forum (Big Penis Forum was where myself, Uncut , Groa, Guiri and a few others were hanging around) because the BP Forum was kind of dieing out. Right around that time, PE Forums had the “bogus post” troll attach that did some serious damage, so I decided to go for it and opened this place up. The “experiment” helped get it off the ground and then about a month later, Mr. Bib checked the place out on a Sunday afternoon and decided to hang around awhile and then it really took off.

Before I forget, Mr. Sizemeister has been a really big bonus for this board. There is an extremely long list of things that would not be going smoothly if it were not for his help. That and for a younger man, he is extremely level headed and great at thinking a situation all the way through.

I think no matter on which board we were and are it’s always been fun with all the vets and new guys around. Keep it up.

But the “Thermo” thread it was, I believe, that started the entire thing. I remember searching for an approbriate new forum when Thunder came up with this one. Before that we were experimenting with all sorts of different Chat software. Thunder, remember Chatspace?

I don’t know that the Thermo thread started us looking, but it did come along at the right time to give us a push I think.

Yeah, Chatspace, what a headache looking at chat software was. A little better now, but not much.

BTW, our chat here (surprise, no one ever uses it, but it has been there forever) is hosed. Instead of bandaiding the dam thing, omnipotent Memtech is looking into getting something better installed. Won’t happen quickly, but it is on the to-do list.

Hey guys, not one but two thumbs up for the info on how this all started. Wish I had known about it sooner; however, now’s the time to get it going.

I’ve been PE’ing for almost 2 months, been serious since day one for me.

Thanx for the history, always great to know not only how but who was here to get this great PE off the grounds.

The best I can make of it is that Al Gore invented it, it seems the Internet and penis enlargement are his passions. You didn’t hear it from me but rumor has it he is a member on the board, shhhhh maybe even a mod or admin………….shhhhhhh

If I remember correctly, Rolling Stone Magazine or GQ Magazine had to airbrush Al Gore’s crotch shot in his pants when he appeared on the cover a couple of years ago. His PE efforts had apparently paid off, and he hung a little too substantially and visibly during the photo shoot for public viewing.

I think of it as strange to call myself a “vet”, but I jumped in around about the time that the BP forum was starting to go downhill. I’d lurked for quite a while before that, but eventually summed up the balls near the end of the BP forum’s life.

It wasn’t long til Thunder himself personally invited me across to this promised green land :D

I guess you did a good job on him. He had a restaurant in Japan I think and his wife burnt the kitchen down at some point. I don’t know what happened to him. Maybe he’ll pop up some day. He stated enormous gains, if I remember correctly.
