A Scientific Explanation for Discoloration?

BTW I agree on your position on pumping. Whilst I am not a veteran like some in this group surely are, I found no gain from pumping, after the pressure was released. The glans was bigger for a temporary period, and that was it.

Yes the fluid build up is useless because it is just re-absorbed and your right back where you were before you started. You may get a false sense of being bigger, and you are, but it is only temporary. I thought pumping would give girth gains but I read a guy who pumped for years and gained nothing. Now he hangs.

Who needs the discoloration for no reason.

What I worry about is getting discoloration from clamping although I wonder how as with pumping your drawing the blood to the outer regions whereas with clamping your creating internal equalized pressures, not skin related.

BTW Monty — probably a stupid question in this forum, but how do folks avoid damaging the glans by reducing the blood flow when they “hang” or “stretch”? I mean, if you take an elastic strap or a non-giving cord, and wrap it around the glans, and then pull/restrict to the point of causing a major pull on the penis, how is the glans getting the nature-intended blood/oxygen? Just a stupid question by a newbie?

Not a stupid question at all. I got my discoloration from gripping too tight on stretches. This discoloration at times spread to the head of the glans. Thankfully this has completely gone, but I think finding the right grip is absolutely crucial to successful stretching or hanging.

The easiet way to tell if you’ve cut off oxygen to the glans is that the penis goes cold. I had this a few times. It can also feel numb. If you get this from any exercise at all, stop immediately and slap a hot wrap on your dick.

Never wrap any cord or strap around your glans and stretch. That is a sure way to not only cut off blood flow completely to your glans but for sure your going to damage the nerve bundle on top of your glans. Those kind of pressures are killers and it is no wonder you got discoloration. Those are very bad practices.

When we hang we use a designed hanger that keeps pressures from the top and never allow the glans to be a carrier of stress. Does that mean that the glans don’t get cold? No, it does but we limit any hanging to 20 minute sessions and then restore circulation by releasing the pressure and perhaps even jelqing back in new blood. All the hangers you will find here at Thunders will be designed to clamp on the sides of your shaft only, so the nerve bundle is avoided and all the hanging pressure is applied on the sides of your shaft. The glans should avoided at all times.

Manual stretches can cause problems simply because they are applying pressures and pinches in very small areas. That will cause bruising which is where your discoloration is coming from.
