My opinion on it is that, if anything, circumcision should be a chosen procedure. How about letting the baby uncut and let them do it later in life if they’d want to? In my country circumcision isn’t popular so we are almost all uncut, yet any penile infection is extremely rare. There are some people who choose to do it, but no one is cutting their babies no questions asked.

I find the “can’t take care of your penis in later life” logic void since you could spend most of your life uncut (unless they choose to get it done) and then cutting when you see it’s a good time to.

First of all it was a single German court. Second do you think a local court decision is the most rational thing? I can think of some local US courts that makes some pretty dumb rulings.

The rest of your latest argument is just anecdotal so I’m not going to address it.

I think bhcentral hit the nail on the head when he said people like you were too close to the subject for reasoned debate. Fortunately circumcision is a choice, and parents can make their choice based on facts, beliefs, or pure feelings without your approval.

So where should the right to mutiliate your kid end?
What can you cut away and what not?
Just the foreskin or anything that might get infected later in life?
