Am I doing something wrong?

Am I doing something wrong?

So I started PE on 11/15/05 with the standard beginner routine, with the goal of gaining length. I’ve been doing the following routine 2 out of every 3 days, or 3 out of every 4 days (and have only had 2-3 occasions of having to miss two consecutive days):

5 min. warmup
5 min. manual stretching in various directions
10-15 minutes jelqing at low erection level, with frequent reapplication of heat

Sometimes I incorporate 5 more minutes of stretching at the very end, when my dick is really warm and stretchy from the jelqing.

When I stretch, I honestly feel like I’m getting in a good, deep stretch, and when I jelq, I take my time and make sure I do my strokes properly. I also have all the positive signs, like hanging low and heavy after a workout, and getting morning wood. But after gaining a shade under 1/4” in the first six weeks, I’ve had zero gains. Zillch. Does anybody have any advice for me? I can’t imagine what might be wrong except that I may have already maxed out on my potential gains. Meanwhile, I hear about other people gaining 1/2” or more in the first few months. I’m really reluctant to start using advanced techniques like clamping, hanging, etc., because that kind of thing scares me.

I WOULD increase the intensity, but PE is already taking 45 minutes of my time every day, and I think spending any more than this amount of time on PE would be unwise for me. While the actual exercises don’t add up to 45 minutes, during jelqing and stretching I get a lot of involuntary erections and have to wait for them to subside. As well, reheating several times during jelqing also takes time.

Any advice you guys can offer would help, though I’m afraid that perhaps the answer to my question is already obvious, namely, that there IS no easy explanation except that I might be an extremely hard-gainer.

Random thought: coffee makes my dick shrivel up, so I try to do my PE in the evenings (because I only drink coffee in the mornings) so that the caffeine-induced shrinkage occurs only many hours after my exercises. However, I don’t drink that much. Eliminating those 1-2 cups per day may help a TINY bit, but probably not enough to make a difference.

I’d suggest quitting the frequent reheating and devoting the time you save to more stretching and jelqing.

I agree with Para. Once you start to jelq, you don’t have to reheat. That would be like saying you have to stop exercising to warm up. You do have to get your erections during PE under control, so work on that.

First, you’re NOT a hardgainer. You’ve already gained 1\4 inch in just over a months time! It takes hardgainers a lot longer to gain a lot less. I’ve been at this for 7 months and I’ve gained in total .5 inch in length and .25 inch in girth. Your dick is now bigger than it was before…be happy!

Newbie gains often times are not huge, and they are less common then you may think. I would call .25 inch in a month and a half substantial and somewhat uncommon, so you are freaking out a little to much here. :)

My advice would be to increae your stretching time by an additional 5 minutes and your jelq time by an additional five minutes. This slight increase should bring you out of your “slump” and kickstart some more gains.

Don’t ever make a statement like you are a hard gainer, because your inner mind will make just that happen. If you have been at it since 11-04, I wouldn’t be surprised either for lack of gains by looking at your routine. Generally speaking, the folks that have received the most gains are the same ones that have devoted the most time and work.

Good Luck to you,

AH

Thanks for all the replies. It’s actually been closer to three months, as opposed to one month, since I began. I realize that 1/4” is still something. What bothers me more than the fact that it’s 1/4” is the fact that most of that I gained during the first month, and the fact that I’ve made zero gains ever since.

I realize that those who devote more time and work to PE will probably see more gains on average (unless there is a great deal of merit to the “less is more” school of thought espoused by several members here). However, at this point in my life, I don’t think any more than 45 minutes per day is possible, which means that I can’t identify any obvious things I’m doing wrong in my routine, I’ll just have to settle for having a more balanced life and a slightly smaller dick.

One thing I’ll consider trying is to worry less about reheating during the workout. However, I usually reheat while waiting for my spontaneous erections to subside, so I’m really not devoting that much additional time to reheating.

Swinteck,

Stick with it. Gains come in spurts for me and I have been PEing for about 7 months now and saw some initial gains similiar to yours and then nothing and then just in the last month or so saw some more.

I would suggest getting an IR lamp for your stretching, as I believe the heat does help during stretching and no need to reheat as the heat is constant.

You might also consider adding pumping to your routine. Moderate pumping is very safe and has a multitude of benefits. I perform one set of pumping for 10 minutes at 5-7 hg at the end of my routine. I wouldn’t trade it for nothing.

The benefits I have seen from moderate pumping are as follows:

1) More vascularity (used to be baby smooth, now very veiny)
2) Increased erections (night time and morning wood like crazy, hard as a rock)
3) Much better flacid (never turtle anymore at all)
4) Girth gains (don’t underestimate girth, it gives you unit a much larger look and the wife has already made several comments)

Length has been more difficult for me also but I am planning on sticking with my current routine (which also is 45-60 minutes ) until I gain the girth I want and then look into more advanced length techniques if needed (ADS, hanging, etc.) after my unit is WELL conditioned to PE.

I have set in my mind that it will probably take 2-3 years to reach my goals and then settle into a long term maintanence schedule.

Did you read our posts

If you quit the reheating and achieve better erection control (e.g., masturbate a few hours before PE), you can at least double your actual PE time without spending more than 45 minutes a day on it.

Yeah, get more out of your available time. If you can schedule your PE after a hot shower you’ll kill two birds with one stone - get clean and warmed up for a PE session.

That leaves a full 45 minutes for stretching/jelqing, which should be plenty.

Thanks for all the tips, guys! I’ll try some of them out. Except for the masturbation a few hours before thing, since I don’t want to go blind or get hairy palms. Just kidding.
