An end to shaving?

I’ve used nair cream and it works fine. Just don’t leave it on for more than 5 minutes or so. Radio frequencies? I dunno… Just stay away from the epilady.

BigPlug… the nair doesn’t burn?

Hmmmmm…..

I have no problem using nair either, the first time kind of burned, but after the initial usage your skin gets used to it. Just dont keep it on longer than 6,7 minutes. I use the one that has vitamin E and Aloe in it. (comes in white container)

Nah, a tiny little bit maybe but it’s the best thing for me I’ve found.

I had to go look for something, was in the wrong place. Ok, after I wax, I use a product called kalo. Which is a hair inhibitor. Slows down the regrowth of hair. Now, whether you shave, wax, pluck or are brave enough to use Nair, this stuff will help. You can find it at any salon. Give it a try, it has worked for me.

Sunshine,

Slows down temporarily? or permanently over time?

"It doesn't matter where you start, it only matters where you end up."

Over time, it will be permanent. It does take quite a bit of time, I have been waxing for a year now, and the growth is very slow and fewer and fewer. There is a warning on the product that states “WARNING: This product may retard hair growth permanently”.

That help?

Sure does, thanks. I’ll have to check it out.

Here’s a site I found for a “do it yourself electrolysis” device.

I haven’t bought one but intend to eventually. I was wondering if anyone has tried something similar and with what results.

I purchased one from a beauty supply store in my area, the instructions say that it “tingles”, in all actually it does more than tingle, but then you are sending an electrical current into the body. You might have some red blotches for a couple of days after using the machine, this is normal. Please read all of the instructions and follow them carefully, as there are some contra-indications for usage, like a pacemaker.

What are your results with it?

Just used it for the first time this week, so results are not in yet. It did pull root and all out, so I am assuming that between that and the kalo that I use, the hair will be slowed down considerably until the follicle is completely deadened and will no longer produce hair.

One more thing about electroylis, you can only do a very small area at a time, like 1 sq inch. So it is time consuming.

I used an electrical thingy once. Stung the sh*t out of me. Tried to be “a man” and do it anyway, but I couldn’t take it. It made me jump every time, which broke the connection. I equate it to just jabbing myself with a straight pin. I pluck now.
