Yes, a bit of length does open up positions that might not otherwise be possible. I haven’t tried spooning with my wife for a while, but that position did require me to limit the length of the strokes to keep from popping out in the past.
Length also allows you to take longer strokes without fear of slipping out. I really like being able to take 5-6” strokes while doing doggy style.
