Anyone else struggle with the PC

Anyone else struggle with the PC

…in terms of keeping it unconsciously flexed (Kegel)during PE and sex?

I have noticed that I am constantly keeping a squeeze down there and obviously that can make holding a 100% erection difficult.

I have tried reverse kegels to no avail.

Thoughts?

06/21/07 NBP = 7.75(tape) FSL = 7.875 EG = 5.00 Volume= 15.42

09/13/07 NBP = 8.375 FSL = 8.75 EG = 5.38 Volume = 19.29 (+25%)

12/26/07 NBP = 8.625 FSL = 8.75 EG = 5.50 Volume = 20.82 (+35%)

Perhaps your holding the kegel to long and to tight. Retrain do an “erect kegel” uses the BC muscle while erect.
When fully erect place your thumb on the base of your dick right on the dorsal vein partially occluding the outflow of blood.
This will fully expand your erection to it’s maximum length and girth and in time strengthen your erection.

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

Thanks King, but the issue is that I am doing the Kegel(s) without realizing it, ESPECIALLY during sex.

I am holding the squeeze and not allowing fresh oxygenated blood in there.

Contracting the bulbocavernosus (also called bulbospongiosus) muscle does not prevent arterial blood from entering the penis.

Contracting the pubococcygeus muscle forces more blood into the penis, and by holding the muscle in its contracted position, it makes it physiologically impossible to shuttle fresh blood via that mechanism as the muscle is already being held in a contracted position, correct?

So by not being able to kegel occasionally, the amount of fresh blood is limited to a greater extent then if the PC was occasionally kegeling blood.

No. The pubococcygeus is a pelvic floor muscle. I has nothing to do with “forcing” blood into the penis. See: Locating the bc muscle.

In a woman the PC surrounds the vagina and contracting it regularly (doing Dr. Kegel’s exercise) can help tighten pelvic laxity resulting from childbirth. That was the original purpose of the exercise.

In men a different muscle is contracted. The bulbocavernosus (more appropriately named the bulbospongiosus) surrounds the bulb of the penis. The glans (head), the corpus spongiosum (CS), which surrounds the urethra, and the bulb are a continuous blood chamber. Contracting the BC forces blood through the CS and expands (and hardens) the glans. This is normally done unconsciously at ejaculation. Doing it consciously constitutes a Kegel contraction in men.

The blood flows in via arteries that supply the CS and the corpora cavernosa. The dilation of arteries and the rate of flow depend on the autonomic nervous system and your blood pressure. Contracting the BC does not “force” more blood into the penis. It does move whatever blood there is in the bulb forward toward the glans, but the inflow of blood via the arteries is not augmented or changed because of the contraction.

Like any muscle, the BC can become fatigued. If you were constantly contracting the BC and/or PC or other pelvic floor muscles, you would soon notice the burning pain of lactic acid buildup just as you do in other skeletal muscles. It would be pretty unusual for someone to unconsciously maintain constant pelvic floor muscle contractions. If you’re having trouble maintaining erections the cause probably lies elsewhere.

Exactly…..that is the only way that I realize that I have been holding those muscles in a contracted position.
