Ballerinas, contortionists, etc.

Ballerinas, contortionists, etc.

Ballerinas spend their entire careers stretching like crazy and becoming ten times more flexible than any normal human. I realize they are stretching tendons. Now I’d like to know how exactly tendons are different from ligaments. They obviously don’t seem to have any problems with becoming too tough , conditioned, calcified, etc — they just get more and more limber. What is it about ligaments that would make them react differently to being stretched out?

Don’t know if it is all true, but I’ve heard that after you’re done growing (as a child), you can’t stretch the tendons for getting more “elastic” (or you can, but the improvement would be really small ), but rather you stretch the muscles and train them not to contract in order to protect the tendons (when you stretch “too far” - the muscle contracts in order to “break” before the tendon because it can heal faster).

I got this from an exercise tape that was meant to teach you how to become more flexible.

I’ve always been told that it’s just very slow once you stop growing, but that you can stretch them. Still I believe you are correct in saying that the majority of the stretch comes from the muscle.

A lot can be learned about stretching from gymnasts and ballerinas, particularly regarding warm up, frequency, and intensity.

I must confess that I too thought this thread was going to have a few more pictures than that, so in order to prevent further disappointment…

*You're in the right place – all the information you could ever need about PE is only a forum search away!*

Take your time, pick a simple routine you can stick to, and be consistent in your efforts. Patience is the key.

Yeah, they’re the experts on stretching — it’s basically their job — it’s what they do from the age 6 until retirement, for several hours a day. And they are incredibly successful at it. There’s a similarity in what they do to PE. I thought people’d be interested in looking into the similarities and differences.

Hmmm… all this talking about expecting pictures made me remember that i hate contortionists (dunno why, I just do). They make my skin crawl when
they throw their legs behind their heads and get their face right up to their asses.

Don’t get me wrong though, I’d love to fuck one of them (female), but I still hate it when they show up on the stage/screen. It’s really strange in a way - me wanting to fuck them, but hating them at the same time…

AND, this also made me think about something else: what would the results be if u started PE at the age of 6?

PS: What is this “Dive”?

Good thing I don’t have to spend hours and hours stretching out my penis every damn day of my life since I was 6. So is anyone goin to post any pics of ballerinas anytime soon?

A tendon holds a muscle to bone, a ligament holds a bone to a bone. The only exception is the ligaments that keep the penis attached to the body.

Thank you for thinking of my original topic. However, I meant in their constitution rather than their function (ie their material properties).
