Thanks Hobby. Insightful as always. The last remark may in fact apply to me.Getting back to the peeling vs. whitening creams. Why do you think the one worked and the other did not? Peeling will only strip away at the surface layers. But if the damage is more than “skin deep” I would have thought this to be a fruitless endeavour.
I doubt Daboogies’ whitening lotion has worked, at least not in the sense of removing or preventing discoloration caused by PE. IIRC, his lotion is basically the same thing I use for hand lotion and as a lube for pumping, except his contains sunscreen and some hydroquinone. Hydroquinone inhibits melanin production. I tried it a few years ago with no effect. I’m pretty sure others here have too.
Daboogies is Asian and has a darker skin tone than I do. Perhaps the hydroquinone is lightening his natural skin tone and compensating for (hiding) some of the darkening he would have otherwise noticed from PE. Or maybe placebo effect. I’m only theorizing.
Personally, I’m not terribly concerned about getting some discoloration from PE because I can get rid of it. The process isn’t exactly fun, requires some down time and makes my dick look absolutely ugly until the dead skin peels away, but it is effective. That said, I don’t intend to use PE techniques that cause a lot of darkening, but the reason isn’t to avoid discoloration; it’s to not waste time doing things that are potentially harmful, haven’t given me results, and only serve to toughen my dick and make it look bad. My attitude these days is smarter, not harder. Pulling out a bigger hammer isn’t always the best solution. I’ve already tried that. :)
As I wrote in the peeling thread, the key to getting rid of this crud is burning deep enough. I don’t know how deep I’m burning - at least well into the epidermis and quite possibly through it entirely and into the top part of the dermis. I wish a dermatologist would join and chime in.
LoveMachine, some guys gain girth relatively easily. Jelq and grow. I sure wish I was one of them. I think slightly more intense exercises can be useful for most of us at the right stage in our PE careers, but it isn’t a case of more intensity = better growth.
I think there is a lot of individual variation in the tendency to develop discoloration. I agree there is a lot more to learn in this area. Maybe with more knowledge techniques or supplements can be discovered to better avoid this problem.
