One of the main reasons someone would measure their dick is because the want to know how they stack up against the rest of the world.

But one thing that has always confused me is BP/NBP measurements.

This forum is the only place I hear it mentioned… but it is quite important to take into account.

I often hear the the ‘average’ size is somewhere between 6-6.5” But is this measurement BP or NBP? Because if it is NBP that means that the average size could be 7” BP (My starting size)

I always thought I was slightly above average but if this is the case then obviously I wasn’t.

If anyone has the answers to these questions I would be very interested. I want to compare myself correctly to these figures.

I saw a documentary about John Holmes where they claimed that he had 14”. But of course there may be bullshit in doucumentaries too. But if that’s true, even if it’s BP, he would have had more than 13” NBP, because he was quite skinny.

I thought John Holmes was ‘only’ 9”. Anyhow, the actual size is kind of irrelevant. Was he measured BP or NBP? I have a feeling that most of these official numbers are NBP, which means many of us here may be over estimating ourselves (myself included). Chiseling away at your public bone may be a tempting and easy way to get a ‘better’ reading. But it might not be accurate.

This is just something that is bugging me at the moment.

I think the ‘official’ measurments are NBP.

BP ist something for/from us PEers to get accurate measurments of our gains.

Getting fatter because of our christmas meals or whatever, should not disappoint us of our PE workouts.

I heard them talking about how to correctly measure your dick on Howard Stern and they said to push the ruler to your pubic bone, sounds BP to me. Also when you order a pump from from sites that require measurements, they ask for BP too. I think BP is the measurement everyone is using.

From a couple of surveys (Wessell and Sizesurvey) I trust, the average is around 6 1/4 bp. A third survey I trust is at Thunder’s where the average is around 6 1/2 bp pre pe, but many of us here are using our best measurement and pressing hard(for accuracy in tracking improvement) so that could explain the extra 1/4 inch. Depends on how you measure yourself as to which number you want to compare yourself to. You can bet that any other surveys that arrive at a 5 1/4 to 5 3/4 result used nbp.

Size survey has a note about the black results warning that there were not enough black respondants to go by. Not sure where but I’ve seen a couple other surveys that said to have gotten alot of black respondants and the average for black men was around 6 7/8 inches on one and the other gave it as between 6 3/4 and 7 1/2 I think. I tend to think black men are in general some longer but of course not all black men are hung. I believe this because of comments I’ve heard from a few women that had been with both that said not all black men were longer but usually were. There is a lot of disagreement on this topic.

The size survey would be bone pressed, as it reads:

That’s what it reads. But not what it shows. I’ve been told before on this site that a BP measurement means buying an aluminium ruler and jamming it in as hard as I can.

On the other hand the picture on size survey shows measuring tape barely touching the skin.

Don’t need an aluminium ruler to BP measure.

Well, they said preferably aluminium. But plastic would do.

Though surely it’s impossible to get an accurate BP measurement with tape :)
