Does stretching give length to the ligs and the tunica or just the ligs?

Does stretching give length to the ligs and the tunica or just the ligs?

It would seem to me that the stretching exercises of the newbie routine would stretch both the ligs and the tunica. However, everything I’ve read suggests that the stretching exercises I’m referring to only add length to the ligs. Anybody have thoughts on this?

Westla is it your opinion that hanging and/or any other exercises focus more on lengthening the tunica than stretching does?

We all know Westla has a great knowledge in anatomy and forum search, but as far as I know, ligs is easier to be streched, and I also read somewhere, ligs can gives you about 1.5” extra length if done by surgery. So by manual stretching, ligs may give more gain only in the begining phase, and tunicae is for long term gain, that is what I think.

I suppose it depends on what the “other exercises” are. I believe hanging does stretch the tunica, but it’s a tough membrane and has the ability to lengthen naturally (with erection). But the ligaments are supportive structures not used to being stretched and I feel they will give in to the force of hanging more than the tunica does.

If by “other exercises” you mean jelqing, then I switch my opinion and feel jelqing stretches the tunica primarily and has a small, secondary effect on ligaments only because of the way the movement is done (i.e. away from the body).

I’m sure other may disagree. :)
