Don't Really Feel a Stretch Whilst Doing JAI Stretches

Can’t really feel a stretch whilst doing them.

JAI’s are a more subtle stretch than an outright stretch and hold type exercise.
Johan described his whole approach to the JAI exercise, which is a good read.

Like everything else here, some stuff works for some, not for others. Everyone is different.
Some guys, including myself, included JAI’s in their regiment, and believed it was a worthwile exercise.

Funny to read your post, as JAI’s popped into my head last night while doing my routine and I had the same thought.

You do have to stretch out for two seconds whilst exhaling and retracting your piece when inhaling and repeat. Right?
