Help!!

Help!!

I have been hanging for about four months, 5 days a week, 3-20 minute sets and didn’t get any results. I’m doing everything correctly, but no gains will come. My lot is about an 8 or 7.5 (if that exists), and all my hanging is btc. So I don’t know what to do next. Should I change my angle of stretch to ots and keep plugging away? Should I take 4 weeks off then go back to btc? Or last, take 4 weeks off then go to ots. Im leaning toward 4 weeks off then, back to btc, because I didn’t get any gains off of hanging yet. Believe it or not, all of my gains came from the newbie routine. I changed over strictly to hanging thinking that was my best chance to get length gains, but nada. So please tell me what I should do. Thanks

I’m no expert, but from what I have read and understood about LOT you prob don’t want to hang at the lower angles(since your LOT is fairly low angle). Seems to me like you would want to try and work on the tunica instead of ligs.

I’m sure one of the experts will be by soon… ;)

What kind of weight do you hang with?

3x20 minutes, 5 days a week isn’t much. Frankly I’d say you need to do more, but answer the above guestion first.

You should probably switch to OTS. My LOT is currently 8, and I’m making good progress OTS.

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but haven’t heard from anyone who has tried it. When my LOT was 7:30-7:45 BTC didn’t seem to be working for me any longer. I wasn’t feeling the good pull that I used to. However, I could still feel some good work BTC if I first did a few sets of OTS or fulcrum, which temporarily raises LOT. This indicated my ligs were long enough for the time being, and I need to focus all my effort on lengthening the tunica.

If in the LOT gray zone and in doubt, work the tunica for a while. Eventually you’ll have to anyway.

From what I understand (I’m not hanging yet,) maybe 4 sets OTS with good jelqing in-between would help. I’m sure the gains will come.

I’m hanging with 15 pounds and can take it with fatigue coming about 15 minutes of each set. Most of you guys are suggesting ots, does that give you guys good gains? What are some of your methods hanging ots, what do you use? And one of my questions you guys didn’t answer, should I take a break?

vic,

>And one of my questions you guys didn’t answer, should I take a break?<

If you’re switching angles a break is not necessary. The new angle hits a different area. A break is only needed if you intend to target the same area (same angle or PE method) after the break.

Your weight sounds right with that fatigue. I’d still encourage you to try using more sets before changing angle. One downside about hanging is that it requires time. I’m pretty sure that with more hang time, especially 7 days a week you’d gain.

One more thing. 4 months isn’t that much, in the end. There have been people that haven’t seen initial gains within that timeframe. Give it time.

Double your sets and you will grow
