I do. I cut the sleeve so it’s long enough for about 0.5 - 1” of my head and a little shaft is exposed. More importantly, at the base I have enough sleeve to “roll over” a couple times. I have found that “roll over” of the sleeve at the base keeps enough restriction but not too much restriction to keep a nice flaccid hang. Too much of a “roll over” at the base cuts off my circulation and I believe is counterproductive.

I checked on MB’s site but couldn’t find a description of the sleeve hardness based on color. Do you know how blue, red, yellow relate in terms of softness?

If I recall correctly, yellow is the least firm and is recommended to be worn as the work horse for not turtling and at night if you want. Then blue is firmer and can be worn with the 8 oz weight. The red is the most firm of the 3. I think both the thick blue and red can be worn with the 12 oz weight.

Ectospasm, I think I’m wrong regarding color, but that Monkeybar uses a different coding system that may or may not be based on color, but the firmness of the sleeve. As I remember, when I ordered mine, I told him firmness as described in this link:

If I could inject a little of my perspective on recognition of future gains.
I never paid much attention to my flaccid condition. I don’t mean to say that I wasn’t happy with the increase in flaccid hang but I didn’t put any thought into expecting erect gains from a flaccid condition.

What I did find that was extremely accurate and futuristic was my ligament length while hanging. What I did of course was to hang SO. While in that condition it was easy to put a ruler over the top of the hanger and while making sure that the anchor point on my pelvic bone was the same every time, I could see changes over time to my stretched ligament length. It is a very accurate measurement as it is extremely consistent.

Now the reason I came to depend on that measurement to be the indicator of erect length gains is because in general there are so many variations and factors that affect erect length measurement. Much depends on your blood pressure, your overall feelings that day, whether or not you’ve been watching any porno and even the time of day can have a effect. There was too much variations from one day to the next.

What I found was on a day to day basis the stretched ligament length was very consistent.

I mentioned above that keeping the same anchor point on the pelvis was important because if it varied from on point to another it would affect the total length measurement and it was easy to cheat on yourself if you changed the point it would indicate greater length when in actuality the increment was not as great so beware. :-)
