Jelqing question

Jelqing question

When jelqing for time as opposed to jelqing for reps - how do other guys account for lost time because of too high of an erection level?

Point being that if your getting a fairly decent erection after a few strokes, it is possible to only be jelqing for only, say, 3 minutes of a scheduled 10 minute jelq session.

I ask because as a guy who seems to end up over training easily, other views and input would be a good guide.

I would think the obvious thing is that if I am getting an erection after only a few jelqs and 10 min has passed with only a scant few jelqs, then that isn’t 10 min of jelqing - meaning that I should extend the session.

But then I tend to seem to over train easily, hence the question.

Split your routine, jelq instead of 10 minutes straight, 2x5 minutes or 4x2.5 minutes.

Thanks Bird.

So what you’re saying is that total time actually jelqing is the time to calculate? As opposed to calculating the begin and end time?

If that is what you’re saying, that is what I thought.

But lately, I am getting too erect with like 2-3 strokes. So I am spending more time waiting for the erection level to subside than actual jelqing, and by the time my session is supposed to end, I have not done very much actual jelqing.

And since I am going with an abbreviated session due to a tendency to seemingly over train easily - I was just wondering what the consensus is?

Use inverted v stretches as the beginning of your routine. Doing this exercise first keeps me from getting hard.

Yes calculate the amount of actual jelqing, not the amount of time you are spending jelqing. You fool yourself otherwise.

This used to happen to me when I was 16/17 and dabbling around with PE. Maybe throw in an erect squeeze or something when you get too hard to jelq. It will add intensity to your workout and they were always good at decreasing my erection level.

Thanks 8-Ball.

Also, maybe letting one go before a work out might be a way to not get erect too easily.

But if I do that what is a good amount of time before I should begin a session?

I know there are opinions that you shouldn’t be letting them go while training - but assuming you do - how long before or after is a good, recommended time frame?

I usually aim for an hour of 2-3 second jelqs while watching movies, which gives me roughly 1200-1800 jelqs in total. I’ve never done any Kegel exercises though, so I find it hard to maintain a 70% erection — so I have to pause the movie, find some porn and then go back to the movie again.

Checking the time after the session this leaves me with a total of 2 hours of ‘jelqing’. 50/50, not very effective that.. Oh well

Man, that is a hell of a routine.

I would never be able to get it up after an hour of jelqing - also, how long have you been at it? If you are relatively new, how will you up the intensity from 1hr??

I have heard that it is almost impossible to stretch too much - if you use the Bib hanging method as a guideline. What is the consensus on stretch time?

Or have I answered my own question by asking ‘how do you up the intensity’ if the routine is already excessive from the beginning?

I think I started out with 15 minutes in the first week, was up to 30 minutes in the second and ended up with 45 minutes at the end of the first month (gained half an inch and waited another month to see if the gains were permanent [yes!]). During the second month I’ve stuck to 60 minutes mostly (almost another half inch). I’m now starting the third and haven’t considered upping at all, since I’m running out of good movies (currently I’m watching ~15 per month) :P

At the moment I’m going to try to cut my total time spent down to the actual 60 minutes of jelqing and then reconsider going for 75 minutes. This means keeping that 70% erection going no matter what. Difficult that.

Why the intense/long workout? I didn’t really want to believe PE worked until I saw the results for myself on myself and since I hadn’t experienced any injuries so far, I took the plunge and ‘worked hard, PE hard’ from the start. I still can’t believe people see any gains from doing ‘only’ stretches or ‘only’ jelqs for only 10 minutes a day. That’s the time I just sit in front of my infra-red lamp before/during/after a PE session for keeping it warm.

I think what you mean by ‘intensity’ is actually: duration, variety and intensity. I think it’s vital to balance those three even when hanging for example — you could consider different hanging positions, angles, weights etc for a start. Anything to avoid numbness and too much of a deadlock is good, I suppose.

On ‘keeping it down’: I’m having this problem while stretching, it’s a real pain in the ass. V-stretches work sometimes, as Bird2 said. Squashing the glans helps, too. If you find a solution to this one, please let me know.

Other jelqing issues

I tried to start a new thread with this question, but was unable to.

I’ve been jelqing for about 6 or 7 months and not had too much in the way of gains. But, I’ve noticed, in last 3 or 4 weeks that I have a couple of lumps in the shaft of the penis that I don’t think I had before. Not large lumps and I’m only aware of them when I’m feeling for them, but they are there all the same. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s not painful, but I imagined this was from the tissue/cells reforming after jelqing?

I just read the newbie routine is recommended as 2 on, 1 off.

Which is 5 days on, 2 off in a week.

Is the strict 2 on, 1 off schedule de rigueur? Or is the final result of 5 on, 2 off, end result more the objective?
