I heard about a different theory - female sperm, although a slow swimmer, lives longer inside vagina; and male sperm although a faster swimmer has a shorter life span. So, if intercourse occurs very close to or during the ovulation period, the chances are it’s going to be a boy, on the other hand if you want a girl, you should have sex 1-2 days before ovulation and abstain from sex during the ovulation.

Fortunatly, it isn’t true. Human sperm sizes are identical… their weights are not however (X- bearing sperm are heavier, and may therefore be slower).

Sounds like a myth to me, only the alkaline/acidic thing is something Ive heard before. I’d say a longer unit might increase overall chances of conception especially if the women enjoys said unit hehe

Another theory I heard recently is that as one ages, there are fewer male sperm compared to female. Older fathers, i.e. in their thirties and forties, tend to have more girls, younger, more boys.

I think this theory is completely silly, no offence intended.
In the first place, it’s not the number of “male spermies” or “female spermies” that determines gender, it’s the X or Y chromosomes makeup.

In the second place, even if your length is 4”, you’re EJACULATING your semen - blasting it out. So what would an extra couple inches mean? Hell, I can still shoot an arc several feet from a sitting position.

Also, the vagina isn’t a hollowed out cavern, it form-fits to the penis. So, it’s not like a bigger dick is truly closer to the fallopian tubes (as if it were in a hollow tunnel).

Finally, when I was younger, and 6.5” BPEL, I fathered 3 boys. When I finally had a daughter, my unit had shrank to 6.12” BPEL. Not a great deal, but actually, I fathered boys when my cock was 3/8” longer, and a girl when it was that much shorter. So, completely contrary to that theory.

I don’t buy it at all. I’d like to hear luvdadus weigh in on it.

I’ve heard the theory. Testing it would be next to impossible given all of the other variables not to mention the fact that funding would be tricky. Plus who wants to be in the short-dicked control group?

Barely 5” here and all daughters. Does not support the theory unless 5” suddenly is now considered big.

Actually it is the “male spermies” vs “female spermies” because the “male sperm” is a sperm with your Y chromosome and the “female sperm” carries the X. In essence your reproductive system takes your DNA and rips it in half so your male XY turns into an X and a Y. The woman’s XX splits into two different X’s. This also explains why men are much more likely to be colorblind. The color vision gene is on the X and if it’s faulty women (XX) have a backup, we don’t.

I’ve heard these swimming theories too, but I’m skeptical. Also, the thing about 3x as many female seems odd since I thought your system is just splitting your genes in two. Where would all the extra Y’s go?

Well my biology teacher(one that wanted anomoys sperm donation so she could study it) said that men who had more sex would more likely have girls, and the ones that had less would have boys.

I know lots of people who are married and still had a son…

Lots of stupid theories thrown around, girls are actually stronger than boys 2 weeks after the birth.
