Ciao,

Lies! Lies! Just kidding. I would totally believe it if someone told me the mean length is somewhere between 5.75 and 6.25. I still can’t believe how many 7"+ people there are at this board. Seems a little odd.

Swinteck,
the answer to your question is in the titlebar of your browser: “Thunder’s Place Free PE Forums - …” ;)

Anyways of course it is possible that most people will try out some slight form of PE before thinking about measuring correctly (or at all) in the first place.. Which I think could well attribute to the increased starting size.
But then what about those guys that did a kind of PE all their life without even knowing?

Would you accuse any of the two of “exaggerating” ?

edit: BTW IIRC they speak of a .25 to .5 inch error.. Which can be perfetcly explained by _bad_ measuring :)

She said you had a small dick huh? Well just remind her of what Tom Arnold said about his soon to be ex-wife, Roseanne, when she said very publicly that he had a little dick - "Hell, even a 747 looks small when you put it in the Grand Canyon". START: 2004-12-06 EBPL 6.70" BPEL, EG 5" CURRENT STATUS: Full Healing Break (Plasticized ligaments need time to heal -- Beware the rotating manual stretches ;) ) 2005-01-07 EBPL 7.68", EG 5" GOAL: EBPL 8.5" (ENBPL 7.9"), EG 6"

“Measuring of length was from the point at the base of the erect penis where the top of the penile shaft meets the pubic area to the tip of the glans (“head”). For uncircumcised men, the foreskin was retracted. “

Correct me if I’m wrong but they are stating that the measurements are non bone pressed? If so that just throws everything out of wack. People with varying levels of fatpad. They really need to change this to bone pressed or change the description if it is bone pressed.

Swinteck , as YS said. The only way you can’t beleive the 7+ is if you haven’t had any PE gains? Pre PE I could understand.

I started in mid-November and have gained 1/4” My progress has been slower than some other people’s so I’m still maintaining a bit of scepticism, so that I don’t raise my expectations too high.

Check this out…

G“Unbelieveable & Odd”M

The studies conducted medically, we’re BP or NBP? Someone said Lifestyles since they are condom people would do NBP, and this was done by doctors. It doesn’t add up, anyone?

FROM ARTICLE:

Kinsey Institute for Sex report
6.2 inches
4.8 inches

The-Penis.com
6.4 inches
5.0 inches

Durex Internet Survey
6.4 inches
5.2 inches

California U. (S.F.)
5.1 inches
4.9 inches

Brazilian urologist
5.7 inches
4.7 inches

AVERAGE
5.9” length
4.9” Girth

I have no problems believing this average for length and girth.

Most of the studies are done NBP reported an average length of 5.9” (lifestyles (doctor measured) and penis website (self measured) surveys). The only explicit BP survey I know is definitive penis size survey (self measured) and the average length there was 6.4”. Thunders place BP survey produced an average length being between 6-6.3”.

Average girth was always the same - around 5”.

Stats (bp) 2004/08/19 8.0 X 5.5" 2005/08/29 8.2 X 5.8" Goal - I am good for now

I think you guys have it right - this study used non-bone pressed measurements and compared the results to self-reported measurements that are likely bone pressed. So the supposed “exaggeration” of the self-reported stats is probably just a difference in measuring technique that is easily accounted for by the thickness of the fat pad.

Alot of people here are 7+ because they have been PEing for a long time.

There is a TV series in the UK called Sex Sense, which discusses in a mostly clinical way a variety of sex-related issues. They once had an episode on the male member, in which they discussed, among other things, the notorious average size question. They interviewed a urologist who explained the “correct” way to measure a penis: it was what we call bpfsl, bone-pressed flaccid stretched length. The urologist explained that you must measure bone-pressed, otherwise, as most people here keep saying, the fat pad will alter your measurement to a greater or lesser degree. No doubt he uses flaccid stretched length to avoid having to count on the guy getting a full erection.

None of this is anything new to us here. What I found interesting is that this urologist spoke as though this method was the industry standard for measuring penises. He also said that the average size was from just under to just above 6”. Again, no surprise.

The description of the Lifestyle survey method on the link above is ambiguous. They could be describing bp or nbp measurement, though I’d guess the latter as well. It makes some sense to think that a condom company would be more interested in nbp, though the doctors who supervised the survey were probably urologists and, if what I’m suggesting is correct, were inclined to use bp. But then, Lifestlye wrote the cheque.

But if they were measuring nbp, and if we suppose that the average fat pad on the college-aged men measured, is 0.5”, this nicely accounts for the deviation with the self-measured studies. The three self-measured studies reported an average length of 6.2”, 6.4”, and 6.4”. Lifestyle’s reported average is 5.877”. Add to this the 0.5” for the average fat pad, and you get 6.377”. Voila! The men who self-measured were probably not applying what they thought was the correct method of measurement (i.e. bp); nor were they necessarily exaggerating. They probably simply dug the ruler in as far as they could to get the most favorable measurement possible. Again, if this is the case, then according to the Lifestyle survey, the majority of men (54%) fall between 6.0” and 6.8” bp, which fits with the findings here at TP and explains many starting lengths of around 7” bp.

I reckon maybe some of the newbies who claim to be 13 inches or so are the only people that could be lying ;)

May the force (of your hand) be with you. :littleguy

Quit comparing yourself to others, and just concentrate on your own penis. This is such a thing as Mind-Penis connection. If you think your penis is getting bigger, and you visualize it, then it helps. If you think it is small and can’t comprehend that PE works, then it will hinder growth.

I only been here a while, and my dick already looks happier, I was never skeptical after seeing all your commitment to this.

I thought: Why would you all hang around on a site for a few years talking about your dick unless you noticed changes?

:) Keep it up all, no pun intended.
