I use vasoline to avoid any snagging while giving me the best possible pull. It is a bitch to clean up but this makes for a very thorough hot wash.

Have you thought of shaving your pubes fully or even trimming them?
I personally shave my pubic reigon except for a strip below my belly (also below my “snail trail”) as this helps to prevent itching for me. :)
