New IRC Chat server

Out of the burnt remains of the last chat server comes a new one, which hopefully will work a little better.

This this time we are running on IRC, so if you don’t want to use the java applet you can use your own IRC client.

If you don’t know anything about IRC check out the Chat FAQ.

But how do you enter the chat, I here you say? Simply hit the chat button at the top of the page and go from there.

Nice to have a chat thingumy again.

Maybe we can have a few orgnaised chats again. That worked quite well with Bigger. Maybe SS4 could run a LOT workshop.

Thanks, Thunder! The chat is fun! A whole different level of communication. The regular forum is more thorough but the chat is spontaneous.

They have taken some time to create a very nice chat room for the members to discuss things without having to go back and forth within the message board or PMs. (You can PM members on the chat board as well). It is pretty nice and I hope members take advantage of the fact that it is there. There may be a few kinks you might have to mention, but it is up and running. Maybe sooner or later there will be scheduled chat for PE topics pertaining to what is a popular topic. I really am not sure. I do know a lot of work went into it and it will be ashame if it is not taken advantage of. Plus, it will resolve someone like myself from sitting there talking to the walls. :) Or just certain members being there only.

Come on in and have some good conversations. The more the merrier!

I’ve checked it out, but either no one is on there, or I get kicked off.

Not sure if it’s a kink, but a button to push instead of having to type /join #nce to get to the other room would be helpful. Or at least a reminder what to type to get to the other rooms. Half the reason I posted this is so that I’d have a place to refer back to so that I would know what to type. Thanks to Sunny for helping me out.

Glad to see the new faces (to me). I hope more of you drop by. It really has been educational and fun.

Yeah its nice to meet new people and its a different way of interacting.

Its actually getting a bit busy in there sometimes and PE occassionally gets discussed.
