New thoughts on "Popping" sounds

Interesting. That image actually confirms somewhat my theory about the PC bone shifting. If you look just at the PC bone, you’ll see it has cartilage in between and since cartilage is softer the bone must have some play or flexibility.

Only had it “pop” once so far, felt like all the way back by the ligs, so I picked never. Only choice close.

Just a reflexion, does the “pop” sound occur when you stretch straight out or more often when stretching to the sides? In my case I believe it was the second alternative. Could it be that the stress is higher on the pelvis joint when pulling to the sides and what would that indicate in terms of gains?

Priapos.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I’d share something with you guys.

I’ve had a couple of lig pops the last couple of weeks. I know now how to pop it. I sit at the edge of my bed and pull straight down and it pops. Only once though. After that I’m not sure how long it takes to “recover” from a pop before I can pop it again.

Anyway, I really hate the feeling of a pop, so I’m not trying to get as many pops as I can :D The stretch I get when pulling straight down while sitting on the edge of the bed is awesome, so I’ll just have to get used to the pop.

I also read that Uncut4Big thought he had gained from a pop. I’m sure I didn’t gain from the popping. Uncut4Big went from 6.75” to 7.1”. If I got even half those gains from a pop, I’d be hung like a horse by now :D

Hey, UC4B, isn’t muscle and tendon “Fibrous”??

Forgot to bring that one up - I have plenty in my elbows in this case! :)

Sec,

you’re right, it is. Maybe you can switch it :)

I recently felt the pop. Three days in a row. The second and third day I could actually feel my penis pull farther out. Scared me both times, I just knew I’d finally “broke it”. :) I was doing flaccid manual stretches with latex gloves on after a hot wet warm up with washcloths from the mmicrowave. I was pulling straight out and down. I’m not going to measure yet though. I’ll wait a couple more months, but again my penis definitely moved farther out away from my body when I got the pops.

Today I will take negative thoughts and turn them into positive and productive actions. 7.00 BP x 4.75 GOAL 9.0 x 6.5

my interest is mainly whether the ‘pop’ when it happens (or stretching in general) has a negative effect on erection angle ?

Assuming there are actually ligs ‘popping’, something gets stretched and/or loser…..has anyone noticed a lower angle of erection after a pop or after a certain time of PE stretching ?

I think it would be quite ironic if PE actually does it’s thing well, i.e. gaining length and girth….but on the other hand has the negative side-effect of not getting it up high anymore because of the ligs gotten loser ?! (Nice big 100% hard-on, but points straight out …)

thanks

I have been looking for decent pics of the suspensory ligaments, how they attach and their position in relation to the penis and the pubic bone. Words I can work through but pics help me immensely.

I also can make a popping sound but haven’t done it for a few years. I was afraid I was hurting myself. I take and erect penis and force the webbing of my hand down the base as far as I can. Push back on the penis towards the body and POP. Quite loud too. I wonder if this has anything to do with my low starting LOT of 7:30 - 8

P.S. Don’t ask me why I did it, I really couldn’t tell you. Over active hormones and not enough sex I guess.

I think there is some lowering of the erection angle when the suspensory ligament is stretched. However, a normal erection angle can be anywhere from straight up to below horizontal. Once your penis is inserted into whatever you’re having sex with, what difference would it make anyway?

Does this help?

Thanks,

Just what I needed. Going off my own experience I would guess that I popped a suspensory lig, which would explain my lower LOT as well.

I wish I would have asked for a decent pic and description of the inner penis as well. Unless that is what the tunica is showing me already.

We’re off topic now, but…

The “inner penis” is just those parts of the corpora cavernosa and corpus spongiosum that are under/below/behind the pubic bone. Each CC diverges to the side and is attached to the pelvic bone. There isn’t more “normal” shaft inside that will just slide out. See this.

I used to get the popping sound with almost every PE session, but I haven’t had a single one since late Jan. to early Feb. I’ve been wondering if it could have anything to do with the fundiform ligaments pinching and, eventually, “popping” the suspensory ligaments out of the pinch, just like we can pinch and send an orange seed flying across the room.

Take a look at this picture, and notice how the fundiform ligaments form a sort of tent over the suspensory ligaments. Perhaps when the ligaments are being stretched, the suspensory ligaments get smashed and eventually forced out from the pinch caused by the fundiform ligaments, causing a popping sound to be heard by some men.

What do you think?

Nice theory, if the suspensory did ‘pop out’ and strike the pubic bone this would make sense. But, if the suspensory ligaments are being stretched in a straight line to the pubic bone then wouldn’t’ they have to form a V to pop out from under the webbing of the fundiform ligs. I would think that to form this V would create even more tension as they tried to escape the closing pressure of the fundiform, therefore not allowing them to pop, most likely resulting in a tear of either ligament.

My pop occurred up not down but, didn’t you say that you were unable to pop again for sometime afterward? I experienced a loss of tension and even a shift forward. I am starting to lean toward Thunders idea of a fluid pop happening near the bulb of the penis (thanks LA) or even against the cartilage of the pubic symphisis.

I’m leaning more toward the fluid idea, but it’s still a mystery to me. I’ve never had a pop while stretching up. I think I convinced myself that one could only have them while stretching at very long angles.

Yup, my lig pops seem to have gone away. I used to get them with almost every session, but then they stopped. I’m not sure how long they stopped happening before I noticed, but I don’t think I’ve had one since late in Jan.
